Written for Z's prompt "Watson/Holmes/Irene, push and pull". It stayed gen though.
Holiday
Sherlock Holmes (reboot). Holmes, Irene, and Watson. PG. 128 words.
"It's this way," Holmes and Irene chorus as they go in opposite directions, which might've worked if they're not each supporting one side of a thoroughly inebriated John Watson.
"I know you think you know everything, Holmes, but I know my way around New York better than you do," Irene says testily, pulling Watson towards 34th Street.
"I know a shortcut," Holmes retorts, tugging him down 7th Avenue.
"We don't need to be taking anymore shortcuts, we're almost at the hotel!"
"It's like," Watson slurs, "it's like, being drawn and quartered... by horses who won't shut up."
"Are you telling me I'm horsey?" Holmes demands indignantly.
"I think he's telling you to shut up," Irene mutters.
"We should've holidayed at Mycroft's estate," Watson sighs, and everyone secretly agrees.
