The shreds of dreamstuff he's left with when he wakes are full of things like the taste of blood, the feel of gunmetal Yargh. Utterly sublime. The kind of dream that lingers in waking like a taste in your mouth and sensation on your skin - I totally get it. Marvellous.
The kiss is like a breath of air and Connor moans in his throat, fade to black, fade to black. I love the flow of this and the rhythm of the repetition.
Once they've crossed the line, they cannot stop, they cannot falter for fear that reality that will catch up and take them down in their moment of hesitation. This is fucking your brother. This is taking human life. He's strangely comfortable with it, but not always. Definitely my favouritest. The notion of reality catching up with them and taking them down is awesome and brilliantly phrased. And the 'equation' of incest and murder as the two lines they've crossed irrevocably is inspired. Also the fact Connor's not always comfortable with it - I like this spin in BDS fics, where the boys are troubled by their relationship, not just happy-go-lucky 'sure, let's fuck'. Although I like that in good measure too... :-) In canon, the boys are not amoral after all.
And the hotness - the rooftop, Connor's wanking fantasy, Murph watching him. Oh yeah. You write them in a kind of spare, minimal, real and ultimately hot way. Mmmm.
Man, I enjoyed that so much. I'm in a kind of unpleasant situation at the moment (I'll spare you the details 'cos hey, I try not to do RL in LJ) but this fic just totally took me away. Most fics are watery placebos but some just fucking Hit the Spot for me. Like yours. Well done.
