OH GOD YES IT DOES. Actually, I read this fic where Gabe from Cobra Starship runs into Ben at some event or other and thinks it's William Beckett (http://i36.tinypic.com/726ijm.jpg) and they have sex and then, uh, Ben joins in? Um. Which I guess was sort of like Ben/Ben in the author's mind.

Anyway. Are you going to put your comment fic somewhere? :-) I mean, if not, I'll totally dig into it, but the page looks kinda unwieldy. (Otoh, Stardust/Narnia!!!)
