And Arthur says, "I think I have to recalibrate Arthur's motivations." - XD Because his whole world is turned upside down now, right? And now he is seeing these things as fans do :))
After stomping around for a bit and asking if Merlin could maybe just stop being magical - ARTHUR WOULD. That is definitely the most accurate prediction of Arthur's reaction, I think. A little rage and trying to make it go away.
DASHING BRADLEY SPIRITS. A DRAGON WHO TALKS ABOUT COINS AND DESTINY. <3333
also Bradley's brain speaking in keyboardsmash!!!!
Bradley resists the urge to yell ‘poop’ into the darkness just to hear it echo. *facepalm* WHAT A BOY. this makes me think of a kid who lives on my hall who is well-mannered, well-educated, and very socially ept, but would totally not resist this urge.
And his response to the dragon is exactly what everyone wants to say to it: “No,” Bradley replies, slowly. “That is not the question.”
I love how Bradley keeps seeing bits of Colin in Merlin, and how Merlin keeps seeing strange Arthur-bits on Bradley, and how unnerved and *endeared* they each are by those similarities and differences. awww, the newfound equality! Bradley relying on Merlin and admitting it like Arthur never would. and the end where Merlin recites Bradley to Bradley - I totally melted.
bonding over strange technology and snoop dogg!! aslkjfd so absurd, so sweet.
the DOG INCIDENT XDDD oh god can you imagine Gwen's reaction to being told her newfound puppy had just died and disappeared!
I also like that Bradley goes after Morgana for stories of their youth, tries connecting and figuring her out and stuff. It is an obvious blind spot of Arthur's and it's cute how Bradley sees this.
I love this interaction so much; it is almost like they're having a real conversation through their totally different wavelengths - “Dragon,” Bradley says to the beast that night, “do you ever miss your kin? Do you ever wish you were outside again?” “It is not given to us to question the machinations of fate,” the dragon intones. “You’re full of shit,” Bradley informs him, and goes back upstairs and goes to sleep.
also the OH GAIUS exchange <3333 ... what *is* the squirrel urine for?
best dragon moment: "The world doesn’t care what you’re made for, boy. It doesn’t care what you are.” ... “It cares only about what you must do.” In the whole series I couldn't muster up any pity or admiration for him, but you totally did it for me here. I flailed.
also, rationality and the scientific method in a mythical world... they don't fit at *all* and I love that, the tragedy of it in a sense. Bradley is finding new categories of thought.
