Actually I was thinking about that scene in X2 where Bobby's parents nervously ask Bobby if he can maybe stop being a mutant, but the mutant thing is a metaphor for homosexuality anyway, so it amounts to the same thing. MUTANT = GAY = MAGIC. KEEP IT A SECRET.
I have a feeling that the presence of keysmash and CAPSLOCK in this fic are a direct result of my time spent on Livejournal. Snoop Dogg and Merlin reciting Bradley were a couple of my favorite parts to write XD, and the dog scene the most gratuitous! I totally want a whole fic about puppy!Bradley peeing vindictively on Merlin's things, and Gwen is just beside herself with glee over Winkles, and she pets him and hugs him and calls him George and babbles to him while she does her chores. And she doesn't do her doubling back like she usually does, 'cos she's just talking to a dog after all, and she just rambles on and on and maybe a lot of it is boring and silly, but some of the things she says when no human is around give Bradley food for thought...
UMMMM WHY DO I SUDDENLY WANT TO WRITE ABOUT ARTHUR BEING TURNED INTO A PUPPY AND USE IT AS A VEHICLE TO WRITE ARTHUR/GWEN. THANKS.
I wish I had figured out a way to incorporate more Morgana into this fic, Morgana is my girl. I've been thinking about how Bradley is kind of like the old-school Merlin who lives through time backwards and remembers the future. 'Cos he doesn't know Arthur's past, he just knows the future. He knows what Arthur will do. And maybe that's why Arthur goes out and does some of the crazy things he does, 'cos that's what the stories say, so Bradley goes and does them even though they're technically bad ideas. Destiny, etc.
I have no idea what the squirrel urine would be for. I wrote it that way so I wouldn't have to think about it, haha. I loooooove both Gaius and the dragon despite/because of how they're vaguely hilarious in a creepy way most of the time. I'm glad my dragon worked for you! I kind of enjoy writing the dragon a lot. XD
