HAHAHA THAT'S RIGHT COLIN, WE ARE RIGHT

I never figured out at what point Bradley and Arthur swap bodies, so that part is open to intepretation (of an interpretation, hah). I guess that would depend on what your story needs to happen. I didn't go into it in my fic 'cos I felt like I wouldn't have been able to come up with an adequate explanation, so I just left it out altogether. I think my fic is post-series 1, 'cos Bradley references something Gwen says in the last episode. But he could also be referring to something she says in ep10, and it's definitely post-ep10 'cos Morgana references Ealdor.

Arthuring himself out of the situation! And Colin knowing Arthur would trust Merlin best! ARTHUR'S SCARS. yesyesyes <3! I bet Arthur and Anthony get along really weirdly. Arthur's carrying around all this Uther-baggage, and Anthony is just kind of laid-back and everyone treats him like an equal, which is so weird. It weirds Arthur out when Anthony is nice (and sort of fatherly) to him, says all these things to him he's wanted his father to say, but it's not his father, it's just this Anthony person (mirroring that dinner scene!).

The episodes following along the Arthur-gets-sick plotline! That is hilarious and creepy in equal amounts and I love it. Which is the shadow world?!?! INDEED. I am loving the whole "stories are the only magic we have" thing, 'cos YES.

And Arthur being introduced to the modern world! The others consulting on how best to do this like, Colin says, "Maybe we should show him 'First Night' and 'Sword in the Stone' and Monty Python and stuff," but Angel is like, "Absolutely do not! That would blow his mind!"

"If he knows what he'll be up against, maybe he can change it," says Katie.

"Yes, well, maybe it's not meant to be changed," says Gwen. "He's a foundational legend. He's got a destiny!"

and everyone is like "lol destiny!" because that didn't work out so well in ep13. Katie adds, "We don't even know how to send him back. Or if we can."

And everyone spares a thought for Bradley, stuck in the other world with someone else's destiny on his shoulders. "So," says Gwen, "all the stuff that happens in the stories, his sleeping with his sister and killing babies and all that. That's Bradley?"

And everyone's like "that's craaaaazy" 'cos Bradley would never do that. But maybe Bradley as Arthur would? Because he knows that's how the stories have to go? And not even 'have to go' -- that's just how the stories go. What is destiny but the universe's authorial intent? Maybe Bradley ends up being a little bit like the old-school Merlin, remembering his future, obscuring his past.

Do Arthur and Bradley swap back eventually?
