I only have passing knowledge of SGA, I've only watched a few episodes. That cosmology is what I was hinting at in my fic, though it's not as fully articulated, I guess, 'cos I don't even know what's fully going on cosmologically. Though I feel like, for the episodes of Bradley in Camelot to leak over to our world, there would have to be more adventures? I guess maybe just 'cos I didn't write political/magical intrigue straight into the fic, doesn't mean they didn't happen, 'cos I was focusing on backstage happenings, so to speak.

Weaponry interests! Yes, and it starts getting him thinking about how wars must be so different in this world, the scale of death and destruction must be massive. "Yeah," says Colin, "it is." And maybe Arthur checks out footage of previous wars and current ones, and he's thinking of the wars he has fought in back in Camelot, comparing them. There are some things the same but of course some things are so different.

He doesn't know which he would rather learn about: the similarities between this world and his, or the differences.

Katie, he learns, does something called 'modeling', which amuses him, because he can see Morgana warming up to such a profession. Tony, in a previous job, played an academic specializing in magical arcana, which also amuses Arthur, but also weirds him out. And ARGH IS THE IMPOSTOR DOING BETTER THAN ARTHUR AT BEING ARTHUR oh man, my heart! Yes! And he goes over the scripts trying to figure out what's really going on in Camelot. He goes over them with Colin, who tells him to not worry about it because he doesn't want Arthur to go crazy, and Arthur is like, "How can I not worry about it? This Bradley is usurping me!"

"He doesn't mean to, I'm sure," says Colin. "Well, on a level I guess he has to. But he is you, over there. He's kind of like saving your place, until you return."

Arthur doesn't buy it.

I can also kind of seeing him quitting the show. "So don't be Arthur being Bradley being Arthur," Colin insists, trying make him stay. "Just be Arthur! Take out the middle man!"

And Arthur is like, "That's what I'm trying to do."

Bradley has a contract, but maybe Arthur gets lawyers to pull some strings or something. BUT THEN Colin and Angel go up to him, panicked and angry, and Colin says, "It's not just about you, you know? If you leave, this whole thing falls apart. We'll all be out of a job, and we'll all have to go back to whatever unreliable shitty thing we were doing before this."

"Brad... Arthur," says Angel, "this show is such a great opportunity for all of us, and you can't just leave us hanging, you can't just LEAVE. The real Arthur wouldn't abandon his friends!"

"I am the real Arthur!"

"So act like it!" Colin exclaims, and maybe Angel and Colin are being a bit manipulative, but hey, everything's kind of on the line here. "The show may be called 'Merlin', but what is Merlin without Arthur?"

"To be honest, I'm kind of sick of wondering that."

"We need you!" Angel insists.

argh. So I was discussing with some other ppl what would happen to Arthur when he just quits, but this storyline is also compelling, Angel and Colin appealing to Arthur's honor and duty. And Arthur is reminded of Gwen and Merlin! In Ealdor! Where Gwen told him that everyone believed in him and Merlin told him to grow a pair. And Arthur suddenly misses those days, I mean not just Merlin and Gwen and the world he knows, but the days when he knows who the enemy is, knows who to fight. There are no wandering brigands here or evil sorcerers, and it makes everything more complicated. At least in a battle, you know which side you're on.
