"I have done a short ritual and spell of protection, calling on the kings of old."

hfsfdssdfsd more Trail of Dead on FNL! First it was "So Divided" playing over some brawl or other, and now we got "Source Tags & Codes" playing over Santiago's first tackle. (Crowning moment of awesome! Just, Santiago's entire arc <333.) Texas forever indeed.

So, I was talking to my friend on the phone and he was like, "Oh, you're gonna be up here? Cool, we can celebrate our birthdays together." And I was like, "!" My birthday had completely slipped my mind. 'Cos after 21, what's the next significant birthday anyway? 24, my family insurance runs out. 25, I can rent a car in the USA. Whatev. Sometimes I forget what age I am, because it just doesn't matter anymore. Remember being a kid and thinking birthdays are the biggest deals ever? But now one year doesn't make a difference, I'm just an adult no matter which way you slice it. Still just already an adult, or trying to be one.

What is Arthur Pendragon up to these days? This, apparently. It sort of reads like AU crackfic where he defects, and man, you know how fervent those converts can be. Somewhere, Merlin is facepalming and Morgana is mortified.

Morgana: "Go on, you talk to him this time."
Merlin: "Me?! Why me?"
Mordred: "I can go."
Merlin: "Um, no. That didn't work so well last time."
Arthur, in the background: "FREE STONEHENGE!"

Finals still suck foreverever, but on the upside: WHAT HAS TWO THUMBS AND IS DOING A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT INTERNSHIP IN THE PHILIPPINES AND INDONESIA OVER THE SUMMER \o/

this is not what i had in mind when thinking about "britain's greatest hour of need"

Merlin: "There's more to druidry than causing a ruckus at Stonehenge, Arthur."
Arthur: "Be quiet and magic up more pamphlets."
Merlin: [Sighs. Does.]

1. I am very jealous. The closest I've ever gotten to Indonesia was that one time when my friend's Indonesian mom cooked us some Indonesian food for dinner.

2. FREE STONEHENGE, INDEED. It's hilarious how versatile the Merlin characters are. THEY ARE AWESOME IN ANY SITUATION.

The food! I miss the food most of all when I am here, especially the fruits. I get the impression I'm going to be mostly based in Manila, but we'll see. They've been kind of vague about my duties so far...

IKR they are perfect AU/crack fodder!

I actually have an uncle who spends about half his time in Manila! Although, I doubt he does anything exciting, so I probably can't give you any tips about cool places to go. He works for a shipping company, so he bounces back and forth between there and London. (And then there was that one time his company apparently like rented Buenaventura and he met President Uribe and we were all jealous.)

I grew up in Manila, so I know places to go XD. My family still lives there. This icon is a picture of one of the business districts near where I lived, and the tiny text on it says 'pearl of the orient', which is one of Manila's nicknames.
