But the Edmund fic is so weirdly different from the rest! And it is long! And it has Edmund being like "STOP FAILING, FAMILY," which isn't helpful.

Bad canon --> good fic, I think. I can't write/read fic for Philip Pullman at all, for instance (except that one Narnia/HDP crossover), because...I mean, how can you add to the canon?
