Will is Merlin's childhood BFF who is now in jail! But soon to be released. We think he's working for the mob. Merlin grew up in a sketchy neighborhood. Arthur's father was a rich politician who is disappointed in Arthur's choice of career. Bonus points if Merlin and Arthur have a heart to heart about that. More bonus points if it has something to do with Morgana. (Like maybe we can move away from the alien idea, and perhaps Morgana was kidnapped for semi-political reasons and Arthur blames his father and wants nothing to do with politics now?)
