I remember being as irritated as you with the retconning of Jessie into resident Damsel in Distress (it was, in fact, one of my motivations for writing fanfic, as I recall). Looking at the episode list, though, I can see that she gets some good moments and some annoying ones in both seasons. And I really liked the turnaround in "Thoughtscape."
