I was really pleased by 1x13 when the Dragon turned out to be as much of a bastard as I was sure he was. I don't know why Merlin keeps listening to his advice (thus your question was pretty smart, WHY ARE YOU AN IDIOT, MERLIN?)

I love this fic. It's whimsical. WHIMSICAL. I don't think I ever commented on it, so bad me. But I love the way you have Merlin and Morgana both tackling destiny. One of them goes towards it and like you said transends, and the other sort of fights against it for the hell of it -- it doesn't matter if it's something Merlin wants, it's something he's been pushed towards so he's sort of backing off from it.

It's also got this completely bitter tang to the end bit (bitter sweet, I guess) with how things may go and how things could go and how it's never really anyone's specific fault the way things are shaping, because they all are trying. And they're all wrong, but they're also sometimes a little right.
