I know writers really hate it when their reviewers basically say they're speechless and leave a crappy review for them but I'm honestly sitting here, my mind reeling. I cannot process any coherent thoughts right now, it seems. This was... just... mindblowing. Amazing. Spectacular? Beautiful. It was so beautifully written, and so beautifully organized and so beautifully woven and beautifully everything.
The feelings I get from reading Jadis/Edmund are so different from Edmund/Susan that it molds together so perfectly which basically tells you just how amazing a piece this is. Susan has always been my favorite, and Tilda's White Witch is amazing---I've only recently come to love Edmund, diving further into his character, and this ... gorgeous. Gah, I'm doing this whole speechless psychobabble...
I love your Edmund POV, and I love how Susan is characterized. It's very Susan and he is very Edmund, but in a way that I've never seen him before and I think that's because I haven't really read many fics when he's dealing with something as intimate as his relationship with the White Witch.
There were so many great bits in this that I liked and I am surpassing my sane bedtime to write this review because you deserve it and so much more.
"Tell me what you've done to me, Edmund." This line stuck out to me because it actually made me physically shiver when I read it. Being that it was later in the fic and you've pretty much established this dark undertone of magic by the time this came up. It had such a great affect on me as a reader. So hats off to you for this one bit of ingenuity.
About half an hour ago I didn't really ship Edmund/Susan.
And now I do.
Thank you for single-handedly making this fandom so much more for me.
