I'm glad you appreciate my comment. I thought I was getting a bit verbose, but it is so worth it because it's AMAZING. I cannot stress this enough. Oh yeah, you totally should write about caves and the ocean because they're so pretty! There's a cave somewhere in Mexico where the water is full of sulfuric acid, but the animals thrive there, it's crazy. I also agree about Narnia being New Age, which isn't always a bad thing, but it's also true that the Calormen magic is much more practical. Magic as science is such a neat concept and I'd love to talk about it, but it does take more brainpower to write about it like that.
Oh yeah, she could be just in his mind. I'm really not sure which explanation I like better. YES, he can totally still taste the Turkish delight, and that's never going to leave him. It also depends on how powerfully she's in his mind. Like if he's just thinking about her and Calormen has this effect on him to conjure her up more powerfully, then it's all him. But she could have left an actual part of her mind or spirit or whatever in his, which would be entirely creepy. Either way, I really like the fact that since he doesn't know, we don't know.

So yeah, this was excellent. <3
