Confession: I totally thought the "to conquer death" line was from a poem too, and when I googled it for purposes of this story, I was just as surprised as Dean to discover it was a lyric from 'Poor Jerusalem'. Broadway-Fail Sue!

Apparently unoshot and I are hashing out the sequel in the comment thread above. Feel free to jump in on that if you have thoughts. So far it's pretty Dean&Cas-centric. Maybe there can be cutaway scenes to Lucifer stalking Sam or something, I dunno.

Sweet, I'll put those on the to-read list! Dean & Dean is just as interesting. Slash or gen, hanging out with other versions of yourself has got to be a trip.
