There really is a lot of Dean POV. I think there's a lot in the roughness and bitterness of the voice, maybe. Somehow I did find out about that, and though the book stands on its own incredibly, it does add to an understanding of it to know Siken's writing about his dead lover. Though he doesn't restrict himself to addressing a lover at all at all, like in You are Jeff, which is such a huge thing that encompasses so much that I am somewhat hesitant to call it a SPN poem because it is so much more. /poetry ramble
I wish it had existed before when you guys were posting poems of the week! it is kind of a result of my discovering SPN two weeks before taking this poetry class, heh. I think there should be more mass spn/poetry=OTP fangirling in general, hooray :D
