ONE TIME CLAIRESTIEL WAS LOOKING FOR GOD IN THE PAST, or a parallel universe. No God there, but she finds Mordred, who shows off some magic for her. She's like, "That's cute," and then takes him to Mars for funsies. But then maybe they do some serious chatting too, 'cos Clairestiel's power may be celestial, but Mordred's powers are rooted in the earth, which is new to her.
