Yeah, the father issue was really sticky with the other one. But if Cas is distracted because he hears Balthazar is still alive, then yeah, this story can be shaped into something. Somehow. Like, idk, "Balthazar is dead, Cas," she insists, but Cas is as stubborn as she is. He's packing his stuff to go find him and Anna says, "You're going strictly on hearsay here, I hope you realize."

And Cas says, "I'm going on faith."
