Ideally that's how Team Free Will would work for me. There is always something they want in this relationship that another relationship has. Cas and Dean have something to which Sam is an outsider, and Sam and Dean have something to which Cas is an outsider, and now Sam and Cas are doing this thing Dean knows nothing about.
