She said she picked black because of his hair, which just makes me think -- Anna! and her bright red wings! Gabriel's are sort of tawny! Zachariah's wings are graying! Raphael's are black, but fluffy from the residual static from lightning running through them! Michael and Lucifer can change their wings' color at will, I guess. Unless the color is a product of the vessel... in which case, Clairestiel has wings like "amber waves of grain", as the song goes.

Tumblr is fabulously addicting. I pretty much use mine as a repository of images that remind me of Supernatural. And YES SUCH PERSONALITY. My favorite part of the Sassy one is Cas's FACE, like moving his wing for Sam is SUCH A HASSLE and Sam is just oblivious. XD

Jimmy blames himself for Clairestiel. If he'd gotten there sooner, if he'd had faith, said yes, she wouldn't be gone. But Claire only did it for him! Oh Novaks, why so tragic.

It's not like I need yet another social networking site, but people post such pretty things there. It's tempting. And yes, yes, that EXACTLY, Cas almost can't be bothered to do it. But they're.... idk, sensitive? Or he has wing-touching issues. Or it's an angelic taboo, or something. Either way, if Dean knew about the wings, their personal space conversation(s) would have been SO MUCH EASIER.

Castiel may have put Dean Winchester's body back together, but has he ever created worlds before? Nuh-uh, girlfriend. If he tries, he'll probably muck it up, like forgetting to put in the color blue. (But sometimes I operate under the assumption that Cas is Zach's superior. I reckoned this was why Zach was so quick to obey his order to fuck off in 5x01, and why he carried a vendetta against Cas until his death.)

Novaks are my favorite collateral damage. I also really like your Clairestiel&Dean icon, I forgot to say in the last comment.

I don't really use mine for social networking. It's all about the pretty pictures for me. I'm almost convinced that these wings are CANON, and our mortal eyes just couldn't see them. That is in fact what actually happened in 5x03 when Raphael blew the windows out.

Yeah, that shit is hard work. And people don't get that, you know? They don't respect. (Really? I'd always presumed he had Anna's old job, given how Zach acted in 4.17, and how reluctant-follower Cas seemed in 4.22. I saw the vendetta against Cas as being a "the one who got away" thing; also, he kind of betrayed Zach directly with that blood sigil in 4.22.)

That one and my glowy Claire one are the only Claire icons I've ever seen (aside from Ctrl+Alt+Vessel). I try to use them whenever I get on the topic of Clairestiel, because I have no other reason to show them off.

Well, that kind of use could work for me. And you bet they're canon - but only the kind of people who can see angels unvesseled can see the wings. Unless the angel really makes an effort, in which case you see a bit of a shadow of them (Dean, 4.01). And that lightning? Raphael fluffing up his wings in an attempt to scare off his opponent. Angels are a bit like birds that way.

Yeah, Cas was demoted in 4x16, so Zach's smugness in 4x17 could be partially due to a recent promotion (for which he was ENTIRELY OVERDUE, IN HIS HUMBLE OPINION).

AWWWW jealous boyfriendthazar! He is worried about Cas, these Winchesters are just human, they're not going to be around for more than a blink of an eye in the scope of an angel's lifetime. Cas gets so caught up in things! It was the same way all those years ago when Anna and Cas had their conversations about free will and destiny and humanity and love. Balthazar and Uriel always kind of rolled their eyes at the way Anna and Cas enclosed themselves in their questions sometimes. It was too indulgent to even really be called heresy. Anna needed someone to listen to her frustration, and Cas needed someone to listen to his questions.

When Anna fell, Uriel and Balthazar kept Cas grounded, but he wasn't the same. Balthazar would ask him what's wrong sometimes, but he knew what was wrong and Cas is selectively reticent. Cas thinks he is following intuition, but Balthazar suspects it's just another word for restlessness.
