We end it with Robocas and Sam. As Robosam got dragged back into the fold and forced to reconnect, Cas cut ties and became increasingly isolated. ALL FOR THE SOULS.

It's like exponential thingstiel, and suddenly all the themes and motifs I usually channel into Claire/Castiel I can channel into Dean/Castiel. This is a Dean/Cas fic prompt, possibly captioned "how do you tame God?" This is a fic prompt, possibly captioned "no matter how far you run". This is Dean/Cas porn.
-- So what DID Cas mean when he said that thing in 6x20 about dying over and over again? And what did Death in 6x11 want the Winchesters continue investigating? And what is that look that Tessa and Death exchanged like he was taking cues from her? And what's gonna happen with Heaven's WMDs?
My overall reaction is one of general devastation, but I like the potential we are left with. I think the finale gave us interesting things to play around with and think about, which leads me to my next point:
FICS I WANT
- Jimmy Novak's voice is lost among the clamoring of souls inside him, but if Castiel concentrates, he can hear it. He can almost hear what it's trying to say.
- Lisa has dreams (nightmares?) about a man with a scar on his shoulder and a brittle smile. She doesn't know his name. She doesn't know where he comes from. Ben dreams about blood on his hands.
- FUSIONS, ALL THE MYTHIC FUSIONS. The temptations of Christ, with Dean lost in the desert and Godstiel as every temptation. Leda and the swan, with Godstiel as the swan. Theseus and the Minotaur, with Godstiel as the labyrinth.
- Castiel oversees the creation of the new religion. His father stopped being so hands-on, and perhaps that was His first mistake.
- Claire's father is God. She has always suspected as much. He tells her to pray to him now, and she says she always has.
- Castiel makes universes, then unmakes them. Makes people, then unmakes them. It's for practice and, eventually, for entertainment. He makes copies of Dean: from the earth, from a rib, and as an experiment, from the rays of a dying sun. The Deans do what he wants, but none of them feel quite right, so he returns them to dust. He raises Balthazar, Rachel, Anna, Uriel. He explains to them. They refuse him, so he returns them to dust.
- THE ONE WHERE CAS MEETS UP WITH OTHER GODS AND IS ALL LIKE "HI GUYS I'M ONE OF YOU NOW" and Ganesh is like o___O who is this noob, and Kali's like HOLD ON I think I banged his brother, and Ganesh is like FOR REAL?
- CAS PUTTING HIS S5 LEARNINGS TO GOOD USE AS HE PRETENDS TO BE A JOURNALIST TO TALK TO CHTULHU NERDS.
- So, what was Cas's father before He became God?
