I think the unaired pilot is the version they meant to air but couldn't get the rights to any of the music they used except the AC/DC. Which means when Dean pops in the cassette from the box labeled Metallica in the unaired pilot, Enter Sandman plays (which makes sense, it's the first track on the Metallica album that is officially titled Metallica), but the same visual in the aired pilot gets AC/DC.
