Dear Santa!

I’m so excited! I hope you are having a wonderful day! And, most importantly, thanks for writing for me! <3

Things I love in a fic are worldbuilding, backstory, unexpected POVs, and magical thinking. I also like fairy tales, character studies, and dogs. I don’t mind dark/foreboding endings. Something I don’t like is hurt/comfort between romantic partners; however, non-romantic hurt/comfort is totally great.  Also I cannot stand hand trauma. I would prefer no blade-related injury in general, but ESPECIALLY hand trauma.

I know I kinda ramble for each fandom here, but just to be clear, I’m not expecting your fic to cover All The Prompts - just the one(s) that strike your fancy! Take what’s best, discard the rest.

See: MAGHRA MY QUEEN.  She is my favorite. Everything about her fascinates me. You can write about how she got that feather earpiece and I’d be like YES. Maghra learning how to live with the Alkenny? Yes. Maghra always defining herself as her sister’s opposite and thus still orbiting Sibeth like an angry satellite? Also yes. (Relatedly, the song I associate with the Kane sisters is “King” by Florence and the Machine.) Maybe a fic about what people around Maghra think of her? That would be delicious, especially Tamacti Jun learning how to serve under his new queen. Maghra/Baba smut? Yes. I would also be thrilled to receive a Baba Voss character study focusing on how much he loves his family and just wants to live in peace!  Alternatively, I would love the adventures of Baba and No.  Dog <3 And after having watched the finale, if you prefer to write Wren/Haniwa en route to New York, I would also love that.

Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell: I would love to hear about Stephen Black’s weird adventures in a magical land. Who does he meet? What does he see? What does he learn? If you wanna get real eldritch and non-Euclidian, I say HELL YEAH. Maybe a travelogue vibe like Pico Iyer or Marco Polo?  But also, what about a collection of his cranky Yelp reviews of magical places, lol.  Or maybe it’s just one adventure, in-depth.  If so, I would love it if it was about him meeting the Raven King, or at the very least, his ravens. But maybe you have your own idea about a Stephen Black magic adventure! I would love to hear it!  

Archive 81 podcast: I would love to hear more about Christine’s weird adventures in a magical land! Lol I guess there’s a theme. I love season 3. What else happened during those 3 years in the other world during “Exist in the place you are currently occupying”?  Or what happens after she rejoins the crew in the season 3 finale?  Does she get to hang out with Nick again, outside of canon events?  Maybe in dreams? Maybe she doesn’t and that’s just life.  What does her crew think of her return, or what did they think during her absence?

Haunting of Hill House: Nell is my favorite, and I just want to protect Theo from the world.  Caught between the world they see and the world that people tell them is real, there’s a little bit of Cassandra to them. I know it can be argued either way whether it’s really ghosts or really neurosis, but I would prefer we don’t go 100% “it’s neurosis”. A story about them while they’re kids or teenagers would be great, growing up and learning to balance inner life and external lessons. Maybe something where they help each other get away with something, or keep a secret together? I don’t mind if you write the other Crain family members into the fic and it ends up more ensemble-y. They’re all so intertwined. 

Winternight Series: Hello I am a recovering horse girl. If you tell me more about Solovey’s family of bird-horses, I would be delighted!  Please, what if his cousin is a goose-horse?? And what is life for them like by the lake? Is it different now that Vasya is there?  Do they get along with the other chyerti? I’m also fascinated by the Baba Yaga fairy tales. What is she thinking as she crosses her lands of Midnight?  There is something ever-present about her. Another fic prompt is: other characters from the trilogy have actually met Baba Yaga, but they didn’t know it was her. However, if you happen to be moved to write a dark Konstantin/Medved fic in which Konstantin is haunted and terrified and so very turned on, I would eat it right up.  For Konstantin/Medved specifically, I welcome questionable consent if you want to go there. My headcanon basically is that Konstantin had multiple sex dreams about the guy.
