This is achingly beautiful and sad, yet Claire's resolve is so firm I can't pity her. I actually feel worse for Jimmy, who did not have the close bond with Castiel that Claire has managed to forge. In a way he did a father's job, leading the way, allowing his child to learn from his mistakes; and like most parents, he ended up surprised that the lessons she took from him were not the ones he thought he was teaching.
