I don't think the angels would differentiate between Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. It's just humans interpreting things differently again. I can see the point extatiana's making about using 'Allah' as a differentiating tool, but I think it can also be an all-encompassing term, especially if the Islamic worldview is the default.
I think that by the time Muhammad's time came around, Gabe was already off with the pagans. Cas (Anna? Balthazar? Michael?) had to track him down and be like, "Gabe, we have another prophet to prep, and this one's all you." And Gabe is like, "Awwww, maaannnn, I thought I told you I was done. How did you find me anyway?" But Gabe gets convinced and is like FINE OKAY. So off he goes to reveal the Quran to Muhammad.
And they become frieeeennnds. When it's Muhammad's time to die, Gabe is sorry to see him go.
