That's the great thing about all the angels, I think, that they're so wide open. You're kind of left with little choice but to rely on archetype. Combining how religion presents them and how the show presents them, they're pretty much religious archetypes with human inclinations? I think sometimes I see people approaching the characterization of, say, Cas and be like, "Why does he have the personality of a tree?" when maybe the more interesting question would be, "If a tree had a personality and could speak, what would it say and why?" Ummmm, I hope that previous sentence made sense. I guess what I'm saying is, it's all about where your baseline and starting point are.
