I'm actually kind of fascinated by the care into choosing the vocal music for both movies and the inspired-by CD; from what I've read, they were picking and choosing very carefully, and it shows. And one of these days, I will do a meta post on the music, because there are points of it that are so interesting, and some I agree with, and some I don't, and some is probably meant to refer to Aslan but maybe it's talking about the Pevensies instead! And then there's a completely different tone to the PC-songs than there is to the LWW-songs, but there are also similarities -- like, I think in one of the songs they're talking about winter in the PC soundtrack -- and occasionally I over-think things.

Most of what I listen to is of the folk/soft rock type, at least right now, so it's been what I've been associating with Narnia. (Although there are songs where I just imprint so strongly on, like this song (http://www.lyricsmania.com/lyrics/does_it_offend_you_yeah_lyrics_39733/you_have_no_idea_what_youre_getting_yourself_into_lyrics_71399/dawn_of_the_dead_lyrics_773476.html), which is the ultimate Peter post-PC song, that when it came on in Borders all I could do was stand in the store and try not to cry. BECAUSE I AM JUST THAT PATHETIC. Also, this (http://www.allthelyrics.com/lyrics/celtic_woman/the_voice-lyrics-980308.html) is totally my Peter/Narnia ballad, or my Narnia seduces Peter ballad.)

I have the Decemberists' version of that song! It came from my favorite Narnia fanmix ever. Although it's never really been a Pevensie song for me, for some reason. *frowns* Lucy, maybe.
