Wah, ow, the Decemberists version. When the Decemberists get it right, it's so right and it is awesome, but just from time to time he sounds like some douche at the coffeehouse on an acoustic guitar warbling about what he perceives are Deep Things. Joanna Newsom, she sounds like a chipmunk singing, which maybe isn't any better, but um. I don't have the album on my computer anymore, but it is lovely and I do recommend it. She plays the harp, which is interesting, and in general she sounds like the forgotten slightly off-kilter childhood in flower gardens you never knew you had.
