They wind up telling the woman who sells it where they keep the wrappers they save, and that night they wake up late at night and can't find them. When they look out the window Mary Poppins and the gingerbread owner are on giant ladders, pasting the stars back up. Jane says something like, "Are the stars realli paper or was the paper really stars?"
