Originally the Telmarine castle was supposed to be shot at PIERREFONDS. WTF. MERLINARNIA IS SO INEVITABLE I CANNOT EVEN. \o/! Further reactions to the PC commentary (or at least the first half of it) below.
Ben Barnes: Basically Prince Caspian spent most of the shoot in various beds.
Andrew Adamson: [LIKE A CHAMP.] Prince Caspian was very sleepy.
Ben: Haha! yesexactly.
The part where Andrew Adamson got Britpicked by Will!
AA: To go from High King to high school--
Will: Secondary school.
Originally when the kids got whisked back to Narnia, SUSAN WAS SUPPOSED TO JUMP INTO THE WATER FIRST. She was going to kick off her shoes and throw off her coat and yell come on come on and jump in the fucking water first aaauuugh. That is the sound of my heart breaking. Anna wasn't having any of it though; she said it was too Baywatch. (Susaaaaaaaannnn.)
Stars and eagles = Telmarine imagery! THEREFORE, Telmarines = tooootally children of the heavens. The Light of a Different Sun = VALIDATED.
Andrew kept on asking Peter Dinklage if he was all right, and finally Peter Dinklage burst out, "It's the make-up!" The frown was built in!
Anna had to wear moleskin in the Treasury because of the sharp pebbles and things on the ground and she has sensitive feet because she is SUSAN QUEEN OF NARNIA.
Apparently Lucy had a lot of bling in her treasury chest. I know throwaway details in the DVD commentary don't really count as canon, but I started working out explanations as to why. Dear fic mode, do you never turn off?
Pattertwig is voiced by GREGSON-WILLIAMS HIMSELF. Hahaha. His son thought he was going to be a minotaur, but no. Your dad is a squirrel, son. Deal!
Centaurs have the biggest swords of all. The boys would compare sword sizes, y'know, but then the centaurs come in and win completely.
Have started watching The Tudors. It's court intrigue and sly good-looking douchebags all over the place! So far: AWESOME. Anyway, the last of the LWW icons.
