Oh, this is gorgeous. Cas' longing is fantastic -- sad without being maudlin. Once of the reasons I love Cas in "the End" so much is that it's like finally hearing what a very circumspect person is actually thinking, and you deliver that very nicely, giving us a great perspective on Cas' motives for staying behind. This is just lovely in general - a light touch, nice language, and good characterization.
