Yeah, the Novaks' faith in general, how that evolves. Because having faith seems kind of redundant once you've met angels face to face, and it turns out the angels are kind of assholes who ruin your family. The abstraction necessary to maintain worship is broken, and the divine is made too human. The Bible is now not a source of comfort, but maybe more akin to a manual or a telephone book.
