Nextly, here's my official entry to

spnrarepairs, a Jimmy/Amelia mix for

Winter For A Year was based on this mix, which made for an interesting prompt-filled writing process. It was also initially written in the second person, fun fact. The mix title is a reference to a lyric from Arcade Fire's "Winter For A Year", which is totally about Narnia. TOTALLY. I mean, jackets that never turn to branches? Come on now. Which is why Jimmy read the books to Claire when she was younger. It's also where all the winter scenes come from. Amelia's Lake Michigan memories come from the Tori Amos song.

One day I'll write an actualfax SPN/Narnia crossover. Anna/Susan and alienation from home! Post-S3 Sam (or MysterySpot!Sam?) stumbling into a magical world while looking for answers! WHAT IF THE EMPEROR OVER THE SEA IS GABE?

+ I have no polling capabilities, so here is a question: how many songs should be on a fanmix? At least 8? At least 10? Ideally 12? You love 14 maybe? 15, get an odd number in there.

I too am stuck on the appropriate number of songs for a mix. My lists are always too long. I think 7 is special, 8 is good, 15 is where I start thinking I really should cut stuff.

I would loooove to read Post-S3 Sam stumbling into Narnia while looking for answers. I want the adventures of how far sam goes and how far he doesn't go, and how he goes sideways and gets creative. Anyway, then it is real, unlike Mystery Spot AU. because then emperor of the sea would be gabe XD

Oh see, I feel I wanna strive for around 14/15 because the more the merrier? People are more likely to download if they're getting more songs? But I also don't wanna just toss on filler. Are people more likely to download shorter mixes because then they can get ~really into~ the songs? I could do up this Dean mix right now, but maybe I want moar songs.

I would love 15 to be it, I am so for that, but it seems like most mixes aren't that long? also it's longer than a real cd. Psh, I will download a mix however many songs if I see that I like at least one of them. and if it doesn't have chicks singing peppy country songs, because those do not belong on mixes in my world.

Yeah, I guess I just feel like I have to ~give more. I dunno. Probz my ridiculous issues. I strive for 15 like with my Winchesters mix, but it's kind of hard to reach there. haha, especially since I don't end up listening to a lot of my library these days, JUST THE SPN-RELEVANT SECTIONS.

Funny story, I discovered Miranda Lambert on a Sam mix and though I would not think I am overly into peppy chick country singers... I apparently am! Maybe not as a Sam song, but now I have her and The Wreckers on my library and they are <333

YES, SO BAD. Like, he's trying to do some magic or whatever, and maybe he falls asleep or maybe he doesn't, ~it's not clear~ but he gets to Narnia. Sam is very distrustful of Jadis, but she IS powerful and she IS good at tempting, and once he eats of her food, WELL. But Dean thoughts will probably liberate him from the spell hahaha. But Jadis is all, "I can see inside you, boy. You are not so different from me."
