It's like OMG I SHOULD BE A JIMMY/CASTIEL OTP-ER. Look, it's like Kahlil Gibran said, "Even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning. / Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun, / So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth." Castiel is the best and worst thing that ever happened to Jimmy Novak, and I ache for them, I ache for their ache.

I love everyone's restraint in this fic, and the brittle wistfulness it reveals, the feeling like everyone is on the verge of being set adrift. The atmosphere is fantastic.

You're welcome! There is something about angel/vessel in general, I think. It can be quite devastating, that level of faith and devotion, sacrifice vs. coercion, and how both of them are tethered to this symbiotic relationship. Even when you're writing gen Jimmy&Castiel, this connection (or, well, my interpretation of it) ends up filtering through. Yeah I LOVE THAT FIC A LOT.

So I seem to be building a habit of completely off-topic comments, but I wanted to tell you, I'm listening to Imogen Heap trying to figure out if anything works for a Sam-mix I'm putting together and I have come to the inescapable conclusion that Hide and Seek (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYIAfiVGluk) is by an angelic vessel. Hey, no worries. :D My Sam mix is now entirely compiled! \o/ I had to sleep on the last track I added, because I wasn't sure and it's the only one that isn't in first person, but since it's smack in the middle (and for other reasons) I've decided it works. So the track list is complete, but I think it needs cover art. I might download GiMP or something since my Mac (and therefore my Photoshop) is out of commission being fixed and I can't do anything decent in Paint to save my life.

AND NO, I did not know of the existence of that comm, but I HOPED that it existed, because not too many people on my flist are SPN fans and I kind of think a lot of people would like it. Because I'm vain that way. :P So thank you!

Yeah GIMP is the most Photoshop-like software, from what I can see. It's workable!

There is also fanmix, a general mix comm!
