omfg, 'Nikita' is like an "I surrender!" meme come to life. It's like someone was listening to our gender meta and then went and made this show.

AAAAARGH, CW, WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY SHIIIIIIPS? NIKITA AND ALEX WERE FAMILY ONCE. DID NIKITA NOT GRIP ALEX TIGHT AND RAISE HER FROM PERDITION? lol, I been saying this show needs to be SPN-fusioned, except I don't know who the Cas would be because Cas is strongly both Nikita and Michael. Michael does have the Batman voice going for him, I suppose. Then again, there is a certain appeal in seeing Cas in a cocktail dress taking out agents.
LOL BUT LET'S SHUT UP ABOUT CAS A MINUTE BECAUSE OMG THIS FUCKING SHOW. THE GLORIOUS FEELINGS. Percy is a magnificent bastard and OMG, I never really shipped Michael/Nikita before but Nikita saying "you were never that far away" made me wibble, and now I want the two of them on the run against the world. LOL BIRKHOFF TELLING THEM TO GET A ROOM.
And Birkhoff making an appeal of friendship to Michael also made me :D, weirdly! I enjoy Birkhoff but I don't miss him when he's not on the screen (much as I loved him as Pyro), but this episode! And tell me I wasn't the only one thinking Amanda/Alex (in a Dean/Alastair sort of way) or, for that matter, Amanda/Nikita (also in a sort of Dean/Alastair way). AMANDA IS JUST THE MOST AMAZING, OKAY, THE MOST SUPERAWESOME BETTER THAN YOOOOUUUUU. This episode was making me care about all the ships, basically.
BUT ESPECIALLY ABOUT NIKITA/ALEX, THE LYNCHPIN OF MY HEART. THAT FINAL CONFRONTATION SCENE. BOTH OF THEM REFUSING TO DROP THEIR GUNS. And how broken Alex sounded when she said she was just here to pick up her documents! AND HOW WRECKED THEY BOTH WERE WHEN NIKITA GRABBED HER ARM AND ALEX SAID LET ME GOOOOOOOO. AND THEN THEY COULDN'T RESOLVE ANYTHING BECAUSE SUDDENLY THEY WERE BEING SHOT AAAAAAAATTTTT. UGH UGH UGH THEY LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH, YOU GUYS, SO MUUUUUUCH.

Every second of 'Parks & Recreation' is basically heaps of joy. Leslie and Ann's friendship is recognizable, which is maybe a weird word to use, but it's like... like I didn't realize what I wanted from TV until I got it, because I never really believed TV would give me this kind of hits-home relationship, and I don't know how else to explain it without getting into my high school days and how friends work and "this, too, is worth everything" so instead let's just talk about
ACTUALLY I JUST WANNA TALK ABOUT LESLIE AND BEN AND HOW THEY ARE THE SUPER MOST ADORABLE OMG AND I LOVE HER PHONE CALL WITH ANN IN THE RESTAURANT AND ANN'S YAAAAAAAYYYYY THAT LESLIE IS GOING TO MAKE OUT WITH HIM (ON HIS FACE) AND COCKBLOCKING!CHRIS WHO GENUINELY LIKES BANJO MUSIC AND FINDS STAIRS INTERESTING.
AND THEN BEN KISSED LESLIE AND I WAS LIKE EEEEEEEEEEE and you can bet I watched that scene multiple times lolololol. BEN/LESLIIIIIIIIIEEEEE.
I would say where's the fic but the canon is leaving me pretty satisfied.
In news of life continuing to kripke the crap out of fic, Misha's new project ('Divine: The Series') only needs approx $1.5K more to get funded. What is 'Divine: The Series'? It kinda sounds suspiciously like Cas AU. LOL I KNOW I ALWAYS SAY THAT but seriously. It's all, "Our story is about a young priest at a crossroads in his life. He finds himself reassigned to a run-down inner city mission. There he witnesses proof of the supernatural when a gravely injured man named Divine is resurrected from the brink of death." OH OKAY I SEE, and then it's like, "The priest must now confront his own demons as well as the dark forces that challenge Divine and threaten to plunge humanity into a dark abyss." BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! "Is there some force beyond what we can see? Does each of us have the free will to decide our destiny or are our decisions preordained by a higher power?" Okay. I think I have both watched this show and read this fic. Not that I'm complaining.
So yeah, I'll be looking forward to this one. Hey fandom, what's the deal with this priest? Jimmy's cousin? Estranged Glaser brother? Is Seb Roche really gonna star in a TV movie called The Blood of Pegasus?
