I have this Hilary Knight/Julie Chu fic that's been sitting in my drafts that I should stop procrastinating. Also, I guess, my DCBB? But Christmas is a few days away, and I'm going to spend all day tomorrow making macaroons. This clarity of mission feels so good to me. For one day, I don't really need to worry about job applications and whatever. All I have to do is make macaroons and put them in cute bags. I will be so at peace.

Hey, do you guys watch Scandal? I'm halfway through S2 and I am digging the shit out of Mellie Grant. What a ferocious, sharp-toothed woman. Weaponize the performative femininity of a first lady like the BADASS YOU ARE. I don't really ship anyone, but I get strong king/lionheart feelings from Olivia/Harrison. The president needs to stop pooping his pants though, like sir you are an adult, you must stop defecating in your drawers, or at least buy your own diapers, like have you learned nothing?

...did you take up cheering for the Coyotes recently, by any chance, because our offensive production right now includes one of our defenders. He's tied for third with our top-line centre. Those two are being led only by our top-line left wing who has been goal-less for five games and point-less for three games.

Alas, I can't take responsibility for that, but tell you what, I can root for their opponents next time I see a game of theirs on NHL network. At least our teams don't have the mumps?

I mean my secondary team has the mumps and also potentially an actual freaking curse (the Penguins who have been fielding basically their entire AHL team, lately). I keep trying to figure out how to get to Pittsburgh and do a burning ritual in CONSOL. >_>

Ack, my god, I felt so bad for Crosby during the press conference right before he got diagnosed. BB, UR FACE. If the burning ritual works, I hope you share your incantations and herbs, because idk what sent half the Bruins to the injury list, but we are also mostly AHL. Coincidentally, this was also my baseball team's 2014 problem. Our major leagues are falling apart, and our minor leaguers are hungry and scrabbling, and everyone's getting kinda desperate.
