Because I want to see Colin Farrell making out with Jared Leto as much as the next person.

Alexander! Colin Farrell plays a world conqueror with hideous hair and Jared Leto plays Hephaestion, his favourite general, best friend, and lover. The pretty is not lacking in this movie, at all. Behold: Rosario Dawson, Angelina Jolie, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers... I'll spend the entire movie drooling on the popcorn and making mini porn flicks in my head, thank you.

Brad Pitt's originally supposed to play Hephaestion until Jennifer Anniston insisted it would be bad for his image. I'd smack Anniston but I don't know, Leto's hot, so it's all good. Heath Ledger was originally supposed to be Alexander. I'm not much for Ledger, but I can do with any number of that combination. Any two would be good. Or any three, possibly four, with wine and massage oil.

What I'm kind of sad about is that there was supposed to be another Alexander movie by Baz Luhrmann, but it didn't work out. That would have been beautiful. I'd have liked to see Alexander by Baz Luhrmann. But I can deal with an Oliver Stone movie with beautiful things in it. It's all good.

Also, does Colin look like Macgyver in that picture or what?

I have to disagree -- Farrell's hair is far more disturbing, if only because he's the main character, and he's hotness is impaired by it. Now every fic I'll read/write involving Alexander will come only after much inner struggle -- me resisting writing something like Hephaestion leaned in to kiss Alexander, his master, friend, and lover; running his fingers through his ridiculous hair.

I'm going to keep an open mind. If worse comes to worse, there's always Jonathan Rhys-Meyers.

The Luhrmann movie isn't completely out. It is in the death throes but, not confirmation though. The idiot (DiCaprio) has signed on for another movie and the script is considered a joke. One of my friends read part of it and asked them if it was a joke and where is the real script and they told him it was the real one. LOL. Luhrmann keeps on changing it after script revision by real script writers.

How'd your friend get to see the Luhrmann script?

I think it got started because of confusion over Troy and Alexander. Also, I remember there was a lot of confusion over the fact that there were so many rumors. I looked for over an hour and there aren't any actual articles linking them. The website you pointed out has mistakes just like IMDb does and this person doesn't tell us what the source is. I emailed them for a reply but, last time I tried they didn't respond. (It's also someone personal website. There isn't an official page up and they usually don't do that until the first commercial comes out. Of course it depends on the movie too and the fandom.) I never believe them unless they can give me confirmation and IMDb mixs up stuff all the time and the website is one I know about but, don't look at much because of it's inaccuracies. The Alexander Rumor control and Colin Farrell Fansite are both wonderful websites and they give all the facts and they tell you the source so you can think/verify its credibility.
