I'm 18 years old today. :) Hooray for me.

Shepherds
Boondock Saints. Connor/Murphy. PG13…? Troy Duffy owns everything except the drabble itself.
The inevitable.
Connor didn’t think it was supposed to be this easy, but after you had killed enough men to populate a small town, he supposed one more probably didn’t make a difference. Just add one more to the body count.
It had been a quick death. A bullet to the head, in the middle of a kiss. Lucky that Murphy did things all-or-nothing; when he loved, he lost himself in other people. Murphy closed his eyes, pressed his lips to Connor’s, and didn't notice that Connor kept his eyes open and dully lucid. Didn't notice when Connor reached for the gun.
“It’s a long time coming, Murph,” says Connor, barely a whisper. “Destroy that which is evil so that which is good may flourish.” He laid his brother gently on the mattress, and took the coins from the night table and put them on Murphy’s eyes. “We of all people should understand.”
Connor sat on the floor, leaning back against the other bed and tried to delay the inevitable, because the inevitable felt like a hot, unmerciful weight at the bottom of his stomach. Because if Connor faced his beliefs, if he was truly faithful, then the next bullet in the gun was his. Love was not a one-sided occupation, and Connor had loved Murphy and had wanted the taste of him in his mouth and the feel of him under his hands the next fucking bullet in the gun was his.
“I’ve never done a right thing in this world, Murph,” Connor barely whispered, almost mouthed. “But I do thank you for sticking by me regardless.” He said, “Sorry, Da,” and cocked the gun. “And shepherds we shall be…”
