Scooby Doo: in the end

In the End
PG13. Character deaths. 94 words. Velma knew this day would come.
Fred was the first to go. Then she had to add a D, then she had to add an S, and she said to Scooby, "There's no more room on the heart for a V and another S, so we better stay alive, huh?"
Scooby barked his response.
"Could you paint a V if I died?" asked Velma, scratching behind his ears.
Scooby barked again.
"You're right, Scoob," she said, and picked up her shotgun. "There's no room for hypotheticals these days. There's no time."
And yet sometimes she feels that's all she has.
