The soundtrack would probably have Sufjan Stevens on it.
This meme is hella fun.
1. Comment to this post with "I surrender!" and I'll assign you the basis of some TV show idea. (Science fiction show, medical drama, criminal procedure, etc...)
2. Create a cast of characters, including the actors who'd play them
3. Add in any actor photos, character bios and show synopsis that you want.
be_themoon gave me: "Four siblings travel to and rule a magical kingdom a la Narnia using Earth mythology of your choice." I kind of cheated because they're not ruling anything (yet?), and I'm not explicitly using any one mythology. But it's an hour-long fantasy drama with dysfunctional families and magic and the end of the world.
MEET THEPEVENSIES AMUNDSENS at the beginning of the show.
Cassie Amundsen, eldest. (Kristen Stewart)

She's running a little ragged from her shitty jobs and her shitty home life. Life's been hard since Dad left a couple of years ago. She's practical and taciturn, and more of a doer than a talker. She steps up. Hey joys are peaceful things, bright but frail.
Will Amundsen, second eldest. (Jared Padalecki)

Assigned himself Cassie's second in command whether she wants it or not. Thinks Cass works too hard. Thinks Jesse isn't working enough. Thinks Del should stop spending so much time alone. He's a busybody, basically. Whereas Cassie is the parent figure who makes sure everyone stays alive, Will is the one that yells at everyone. I ship Will/Cassie, ngl. Cassie takes care of everyone, but Will is the only one who tries to take care of her back.
Jesse Amundsen, third eldest (second youngest?). (Anton Yelchin)

He's a troublemaker. He got into a lot of it at school, and he's been brought home by the cops more than once. He butts heads with Will a lot. He gets along best with Del; he finds her honest.
Delilah Amundsen, aka Del. Youngest. (Aimee Teegarden)

She's kinda like Luna Lovegood. She's a loner lost in her own world most times, a little awkward and disconnected, and she secretly has superpowers. Or magic. She's not sure what it is. At first it was just levitating things, but now she can conjure fire and stuff, and her powers are only growing. She started having dreams, really vivid ones, of her and her siblings fighting monsters. And she's been dreaming about Dad. Del doesn't tell anyone this, not even Jesse. Everyone thinks she's crazy enough already.
Then OH SHIT THEY ARE IN NARNIA OR SOME SHIT. WHAT IS THIS PLACE. And then they meet some magic-type people!
Aire (Katie McGrath)

The sorceress that brought the Amundsens to this other world. She's a spaz, but her heart is in the right place. Think of a female Shmendrick, but more powerful. King Andrian's quest to stop the end of the world is not going well, so Aire finds this vague and ancient spell that's basically like, “Use only in case of apocalypse.” So she does! 'Cos she's desperate and everyone is dying and she has to try, and what she got was... the Amundsens. It was disconcerting for all parties involved.
Here, have another picture of her for the hell of it:

King Andrian (Clive Owen)

When the kids arrive in this otherworld, Andrian is off somewhere with a some troops hunting Lethys down. He is also the Amundsens' father, which blows their minds. (Andrew was totally not his real name.) He's from otherworld, but he ran away to live in ours because he's a little emo. That's why Del has magic and visions; she gets it from her dad. The reason Andrian left his family in our world was because his own world started ending, and as much as he loved his family, he's not going to let his land fall without a fight. Cassie has mixed feelings about seeing her dad again; there is hopeful trepidation, but she can't quite get over how betrayed she feels. She thinks she understands why her dad did the things he did, but she also kind of wants to remain angry, but it's hard. Will, on the other hand, will totally find it easy to have beef with Andrian and blame him for everything. Del is Andrian's favorite.
Lethys (Elizabeth Mitchell)

The big bad. Sort of. She's not evil per se, people just think she is because she is the harbinger of the end times. She's actually pretty classy. Just... kind of amoral. She is not just a god of destruction – she is also rebirth. She's the cycle of life. Andrian baffles her with how persistent he is at trying to fight the inevitable. No matter, Lethys thinks. Many try, but they all fall in the end.
Ren and Tor (Santiago Cabrera and Paul Bettany)

Lethys's henchmen. Sometimes they are ravens who perch on Lethys's shoulders or hover around her, but sometimes she sends them off to spy or sabotage Andrian and the Amundsens. They're like part BAMF, part GQMF, and part ninja. They cause a lot of damage and they look sexy doing it. In the fandom, the Ren/Tor ship would have the most porn.
Carn (Mos Def)

A mischievous wood sprite that the Amundsens meet on the way to find their father. He helps them out sometimes. He's developed a soft spot for Del, and loves making Jesse angry.
Captain Perrin (Bradley James)

King Andrian's second in command on this mission to stop the end of the world. He thinks Andrian is a little nuts, but he'll follow his king into hellfire when it comes down to it.
So yeah, the first couple season is mostly the Amundsens trying to find their father and having adventures along the way. They wonder if they'll ever go back. (Del kind of likes it here though.) They wonder if they should be looking for Lethys instead of their father. Will gets frustrated at Cassie for not being unreservedly angry at their father. Del saves people using epic magic. Cassie and Will do up some eyesex. Jesse is surprisingly handy with a knife. Cassie and Will are pissed at Del for keeping her powers a secret, but Jesse understands why she did. Cassie still swells with pride a little when Andrian tells her he is proud of her. One of the Amundsens starts wondering if maybe Lethys has a point. They worry that Del is drifting from them. Familying is hard and the end of the world is painful and messy. I think the end game will not be Good vs. Evil though, because as we have established Lethys is not especially evil.

Do me, please. I like the sound of this meme :)

How about a show in which gods and goddesses from ancient pantheons try to live in modern times and pass for human?

Challenge accepted! :DD

Me tooooooo. Like, intense conversations in which they end up making awkward observations about each other. Or that one time when he was fighting with Jesse and Jesse told him he was nothing more then Cassie's bootlicker anyway. Man, he's always there for her. What are your scenarios?!

I am casting as we speak. Poseidon is the most difficult.

I WANT TO PLAY.

... I surrender. I wanna do it again. :P

WILL/CASSIIIIEEEE. I dunno what it is, I think how Kristen Stewart just kinda looks resigned and tired all the time, and Jared Padalecki does great bitchfaces. There would totally be a moment in a fic, also, where Cassie wonders when Will got so tall. He towers over everyone. It's like everyone grew up when she wasn't looking.
Your next one is: Some people find a powerful magical object that they begin gleefully using for their own gain, but then the unhappy owner of the powerful magical object comes looking for it.

You know, they have very similar bone structure. Huh. I don't think that I ever noticed that before.

I SHIP THEM ALREADY.
Also that photo of Bradley is just too funny.

Also that photo of Bradley is just too funny.
Bradleeeey. I think in that scene, Perrin is listening to the king's plans and feeling kind of skeptical about it, and is wondering how to express his opinions respectfully.

IT'S ALRIGHT SANTIAGO. *I* LOVE YOU AND YOUR PRETTY PRETTY FACE.
Also that photo of Bradley is just too funny.
Bradleeeey. I think in that scene, Perrin is listening to the king's plans and feeling kind of skeptical about it, and is wondering how to express his opinions respectfully.
That's totally his professional "I am skeptical, but respectfully so" face.

I also just realized that it is also his "I was totally not thinking impure thoughts about your daughter, what" face. 'Cos I think he would develop a little crush on Cassie, which he tries to hide because he's the kind of dude that blushes at everything (except killing people). This would result in a lot of Perrin/Cassie/Will OT3 fic.

I had to go check whether Will was Jared or Anton, because if it was Anton I was going to be afraid that Bradley might break him by accident. HE IS JUST TOO CUTE AND WEE FOR HIS OWN GOOD.
BUT HE IS NOT, SO IT IS OKAY.

I'm not sure who I would ship Jesse with. Maybe Carn? Or one of the henchmen?

How about a show in which there is a pub where the undead/supernatural/mythological go to to unwind after a hard day's haunting?
