I wrote this one ages ago for the first lines meme, but didn't post it because I thought I wanted to make it into a longer fic. But now I reckon I'll just write some other longerfic instead, if it comes to it.

What happened to those days? Oh, right, gay sorcerers. Then a vaguely sauntering apocalypse. Well, who's to say Uther and/or Peter can't hire the Witchfinders Winchester to smoke out a hag, hmm? I wanted to do a post apocalyptic AU and so I don't spoil anything I will simply say one of the characters has Aspergers. I know...that can't just suddenly happen but I was thinking of the story in two parts and yeah it sounds very complicated now that I'm typing it out. ~_~ I am vague but I assure you that ever since this was brought to my attention around 10 hours ago I haven't been able to stop thinking of possible plots. This one just calls out to me more than the others for personal reasons.

omg you're right, IT CAN BE BECAUSE OF ANGELS. And I'm envisioning this scene, right, where Dean and Uther are bonding over their hatred of witches, tossing back the wine and making witch jokes. They're like "hey you're not so bad" AND MAAAAAAAAAAYBE they start developing this pseudo father-son dynamic and ARTHUR IS VERY JEALOUS. Who is this witchfinder monopolizing his father's love? And why is their accent so strange? Grr argh, Arthur thinks. ARTHUR AND DEAN HAVE CHARGED ANTAGONISTIC SCENES, which in fanon means they're fucking, of course. And word, Team Free Will would be completely unimpressed with Aslan. They'd probably love the Pevensies though. I mean, who can hate the Pevensies?

SO MANY THOUGHTS WHERE TO START? Chuuuuck and the Impala! I love love love how they did that whole thing with the car, and the final flashback, running through the whole show, SAMMY!!!
Samifer was bomb this time around - I thought Jared rocked it, whereas I'd been skeptical of it during The End. Dean Dean Deaaaan. I think I'm glad we didn't end up with a deus ex Dean? I dunno, I would have been fine too if Dean had turned out to somehow be God, but I think it was even better this way. Dean made his choice, he was such a good big brother, and then Sam had to fight it out. I just want to hug them!!

OMG CASPLOSION I WAS FREAKING OUT. Freaking. Out. Sobbing, shaking, holy crap Kripke, trying to kill me. BUT HE CAME BACK. woooo! I so so so hope that Cas going off to become HAIC doesn't mean he's not back for Season 6. I neeeed him. Misha rocked it, even the ass-butt line, which when I thought Cas was dead was killing me because hello, what horrid last words. BUT NO. Cas prevails!

I think I have more thinky thoughts, namely about Chuck as God or Chuck as incarnation of the story, which is he? Umm...SAMIFER AT THE END!!! Gaaah. I hope that there's a time jump between seasons, so Dean can be family man, though I sort of doubt it.

AMAZING. So so so freaking unbelievable, and heartbreaking, and wonderful. Sigh.

I'm still only able to articulate my finale opinions in comments. Much more low-pressure that way. My initial reaction is one of distraught confusion, but things made much more sense when I watched the episode a second time. I just thought that if the 100th episode was AMAZING FOR EVERYONE, then the finale should be too, right? No. The finale is of course all about Sam and Dean, and they're cool and all, but I'm reminded that Castiel was what hooked me into this show. I KNOW I KNOW, I'M DOING IT WRONG. WOE UPON ME THAT I TEND TO LOVE SUPPORTING CHARACTERS MORE THAN THE LEADS.

SAMIFER WAS HELLA (lol) AMAZING. Dean has had, what, three episodes where he had to act against himself? Sam finally gets a doppelganger episode for himself too! It was definitely Jared's best acting since I can't remember when. Jared should play more evil characters!

I STILL CANNOT WATCH THE CASPLOSION WITHOUT FEELING VERY D: oh god have i become that kind of fan. i guess i have. Castiel's characterization throughout this episode was what I had the biggest trouble with, but I guess only 'cos I am (I will admit) totally influenced by Castiel fanon. I had to reconcile myself with the following: 1) Castiel no longer puts Dean on a pedestal; 2) Castiel put Dean on a pedestal in the first place; 3) Castiel will choose family over Dean the way Dean will choose family over Cas, and in fact their loyalty is part of what makes them so badass. When they go against their family, you know it fucking hurts them in the soul. AUGH MY SHIP. Between straightening heaven out though, Cas totally returns to earth occasionally to visit his favorite brothers.

I AM STILL NOT SURE WHAT TO MAKE OF CHUCKGOD. Is he god? Or is he just a vessel for god? Is it even more fourth-wallish than that? I do like that God/Becky is canon though.
