the one where i watch a buttload of TV
So, I watched that Batman AU, Under the Red Hood. I don't know Batlore at all, so my thoughts are coming from someone whose reactions mostly consisted of OMFG DEAN D:.
-- It was enjoyable in my mind to watch this like it's a S4 AU where Dean comes back from the dead, but ~came back wrong~ and then he takes revenge onthe Joker Alastair. Z and I spent most of the watch either going D: or going OMG HE TOTALLY JUST SOUNDED LIKE DEAN THAT IS SOMETHING DEAN WOULD TOTALLY SAY OMG THAT WAS DEAN'S ANGST FOR A MINUTE THERE *_______* <33333 deeeaaaaaan
-- Alastair and the Joker would make such amazing BFFs, guys, omg. Singing "Cheek to Cheek" as they eviscerate victims, sassing each other unto eternity. <3333 sociopathic lifemates
-- I'M NOT USED TO SEEING THIS MUCH VIOLENCE IN CARTOONS. Have cartoons always been as violent? Am I just old and naive now? I mean, the crowbar D: and blood splatters and those three guys, and then they were DEAD, and and getting your head crushed by your own robot suit annnnnd! D:
-- That scene on the rooftop with Red Hood and Batman being gay for each other? And Jason takes off his mask? Ahaha. UNDER THIS MASK! IS ANOTHER MASK! lololololol
IN CONCLUSION: JOKER/ALASTAIR OTP
And then there was Rizzoli & Isles! I don't usually do procedural shows, but I was curious about this one because 1) it's set in Boston and I have a hard-on for Massachusetts, and 2) both the leads are women. It's like Bones if Angel was a girl. It's eh-okay so far. Needs moar Rizzoli/Isles subtext.
Speaking of shows set in Boston, I barely watch Leverage anymore, but JO HARVELLE WAS IN AN EPISODE so of course I had to watch that one and country singer Jo *________* SHE HAS SUCH A NICE VOICE. AS DOES CHRIS KANE. I feel like I'm missing out on some CWRPF joke/plot bunnies on account of how Chris Kane is actualfax in a band and JAckles sings country. Or something. Everything about Eliot being a country star was just winnnn win win. Isn't this the second time they've had to pull a deus ex Eliot? He had to be a baseball celebrity too.
The Bjork!Parker thing was UGH SO EXECRABLE, though. >:(
And thennnnn I watched
-- wtf Romeo did no one racefail-beta this shit uuuggggghhhhhhh
-- I barely recognized Greenly! And then it was like that moment from Hook -- "THERE you are, Greenly!" Man, he's gotten old. And fugs. But still adorably dumb! And then dead. :(
-- You know who else has gotten old and fugs? Connor! I had to check IMDB to make sure that was Sean Patrick Flanery, goddamn.
-- NORMAN REEDUS, ON THE OTHER HAND, REMAINS AS SEXY AS EVER.
-- I appreciate the callbacks! The cat. "Symbolism". Listening to crazy music while you figure out the crime scene.
-- If this whole movie had just been impressionistic reenactments of shoot-'em-outs, I would've been okay with that.
-- What the even fuck was that fucking stupid-ass dream. (I like that they dream in tandem tho.)
-- I'm glad Smecker isn't dead.
-- NOT ENOUGH BROCESTUAL SUBTEXT. Perhaps I will have to create some via fic.
-- I don't know how I feel about the implication of a third movie.
IN CONCLUSION: I'm just gonna reread paronymous/sepulchral again and be nostalgic for the old days.
I'm only watching a lot of shit because life has been rather :( lately. Tell me a joke, flist. Explain to me why Castiel crossed the road and why Sam is like a writing desk. Tell me about the plot bunnies that the S6 spoilers are giving you.

I need to catch up on Rizzoli/Isles, if only because the blatant but casual invasion of each others personal space never fails to be ridiculously hot.

And the fact that he's calling him Dean at ALL, no one's called him Dean since Dad left
;______; Is Sam also secretly a superhero somewhere and are he and Jason gonna meet?
I LIKE THAT THEY SHARE CAT FOOD TOGETHER. <3333333

Hahaha, this got so much talking and LOLing about when it happened in the comics. Oh, Jason.
:P.

So.
AWESOME \o/

Dean should have strummed the guitar with Jo singing the night before she died *nods*

Jo should've sung them all a sweet song that night so everyone can cuddle and cry cathartically. ;_______;

Sam is like a writing desk because he has an inky hole in his heart ever since he moved from the Victorian Mansion he and his family call home. And it may not look like it, but he was built specifically for that house so his leaving leaves a desk!Sam shaped hole in their life. Also, he has a *super sekrit* hidden drawer where he hides all the stuff he can't tell his brother. As the visions get worse, the drawer is starting to overflow and someday soon it's going to burst open.
Meanwhile, Dean is a fountain pen, who actually performs the task they're set out to do. The two of them are a perfect team because either one is useless without the other, but Sam feels a bit put upon in this relationship. John, I guess, is the writer who directs how they operate, both by training them as kids, and leaving his notebook behind for them. So now they can hunt down the ravenous plot bunnies that have come for their souls and trap them on paper by themselves.
Clearly I've overthought your question.

Overthinking is how we roll around these parts, so that's totally okay. :)

The Merlin trailer has basically made me 100% Team Evil Hot Sisters. I mean, how can you compete with this:
Seeing it made me go:
(The dancing, not the leaving, obvi)
And then I saw the trailer for Sucker Punch which if it ends up being half as awesome as it looks, will still be pretty damn awesome.
Then I watched the trailer for The Town, which might be relevant to your interests, being set in Boston and all. SPEAKING OF BOSTON, have you ever gone to the Mapparium" at the Christian Science Museum? It is pretty cool. They should build them in every city and make schoolchildren go every year.

MORGAUSE SHOVING MORGANA AGAINST A WALL AND ANGRILY LASHING OUT, "I AM YOUR FAMILY NOW."
Or maybe they're totally sexytime BFFs now, WHO KNOWS. There are several possibilities and I am ready to love each one. Except the shitty ones. XD
I don't know if I've ever been to the Mapparium or if I've just squealed about wanting to go. It is definitely up my alley.

And OH MAN Arthur's face when he sees her, like, "I never knew what you meant to me until you were gone. And now that you're back, I couldn't bear to lose you again." And Morgana has to keep telling herself that even though Arthur looks to be a better king than Uther, he's still a Pendragon, and the risk is too great to take, brothers be damned.

This one was shockingly decent as a movie. Better than most of the action movies I've seen lately, anyway. I mean, I was genuinely surprised by a few of the events.
And no, I couldn't watch without thinking of a SPN AU.

Ahaha I'm glad I'm not alone in this.
It's darker than I was expecting. The whole thing was very compelling, the angst, the feelings. The action! But the end was kind of abrupt. Like... THAT'S IT?! THAT'S ITTTT??? Another explosion?? We STARTED with an explosion! Is he for real DEAD? Jason isn't dead, right? I'm not convinced he's dead.
no subject
And yeah, very abrupt ending.

The DCAU is actually really really violent on a regular basis, if only in implication. One scene comes to mind, where the Flash is assassinated by Lex Luthor and I felt obliged to cover my little brother's eyes. Usually it's just your average "I will beat you up and send you to jail because I don't kill people!" kind of fighting, but sometimes. Man.
no subject
Yeah I guess I should've figured that first and foremost, it's comics before it's cartoons, and comics get tres violent. But I didn't. I'm not complaining! I enjoyed getting my heart wrung out. XD

so I guess my plot bunnies are Dean watching football and trying to get Lisa into Dr Sexy MD. Dean going along with Lisa's healthy lifestyle and grimacing at every spoonful of plain yogurt with ~all natural granola he eats. DEAN JOGGING WHAT. Dean going to Ben's baseball games and making friends with another overenthusiastic dad. Dean taking up the construction trade and banging his thumb comically and wishing he could be a mechanic or something, ogling cars as he passes them. Dean going out into the garage once late at night just to peek under the Impala's cover in the dark and see the slightest gleam of black and shine of chrome. Dean talks while driving, just talks and talks.
SAM AND CAS HANGING OUT AT A DEAD-END BAR DRINKING AWAY THE TIME. because Cas has eternity and Sam only lives in the moment anymore. and because Cas wants to know what drinking games are. Sam tries watching Casa Erotica one night but cracks the fuck up because he's remembering Gabe. Sam and Cas discussing the business of the post-apocalypse and Sam giving him advice based on his 20th Century Russian History class!
sorry, not all of these are exactly happy/funny. but I'll gifspam you soon :D?
GUESS WHO I LOVE

YOU RAISE ME UUUUUUP
PS. hug monster jared is sending jensen a hug that is really a hug from me to you

lol Lisa's healthy lifestyle. After the fifth alfalfa and cream cheese sandwich, Dean tells Lisa he'll make his own lunches from now on. He sneaks out to get burgers, I bet, sometimes with Ben in tow, and is appalled when it is revealed that Ben does not actually like hamburgers... MAKING FRIENDS WITH OTHER OVERENTHUSIASTIC DADS AHAHAHAHA. Lisa gets embarrassed, but also finds it adorable. Dean and Steve cheering their hearts out, and occasionally have to be reminded that hey, this is a little league game and please keep the swearing to actual ballparks pls.
THE VERY IMAGE OF DEAN JOGGING IS BOTH HILARIOUS AND EXTREMELY SAD
Sam giving him advice based on his 20th Century Russian History class!
FJKSLFJKLSFJDS YES. YES SAM TOTALLY WOULD. And Cas is like, "Interesting, I was occupied with the political imbroglio of the Fourth Heaven at the time... but now..." AND THEN HE AND SAM GO TIME-TRAVELING. SASSY RUSSIAN REVOLUTION TIME-TRAVEL FIC.
"Okay, we'll have codenames," Sam says. "I'm Boris. You're Misha."
Oh baby baby baby <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
