Okay, people who haven't joined the party on sharp_teeth: what the shit, why have you not? The prompts and the fic have been rocking my world. THE GOOD WIFE, GUYS. I've only seen through 2x01, but can I take a minute here? Can we talk about how Alicia is one of the most relateable female characters on TV? And how the series starts out with her at a very vulnerable point and you get sucked into that, into her stumbling and fumbling, and then you see her accrue victories and it is SO FULFILLING. CAN WE TALK ABOUT HER YELLING AT THE DOUCHEY JUDGE FOR VIOLATING FIFTH AMENDMENT RIGHTS? fjklsfjls Can we talk about how WILL LOOOOOOOOVES ALICIA OMG HE LOVES HER SO MUCCCHHHHH eeeeeee gtfo Chris Noth. Oh, and that episode told from jury POV? 1x18? I legit got shivers at the end of that episode. I have never been more disturbed and heartbroken by an hour of television. jfc, that episode made me want to cry and punch something. I LOVE IT. THIS SHOW.

LET'S SEE WHAT ELSE I LOVE. DIANE OF COURSE. DIANE/BALLISTICS GUY LOL THEY ARE ADORABLE. AND OMG THE KIIIIIIDS kids kids kids who lie to the feds to keep their dad out of prison!! This show is good at douchebag villains too. I hate everyone they want me to hate, which is... rare. Maybe because this show takes characterizations of women that are usually attributed to antagonists and makes them protagonistic, which is totally a word btw? I'm thinking of Diane and Kalinda. In an alternate dimension, the heart of this show is Peter trying to find redemption, and Alicia is little more than The Long-Suffering Wife. I'm glad we are not in that dimension.

ANYWAY, MORE ABOUT DOUCHEBAGS. I WAS >:( at Cary and the mother-in-law at first, ugh, how terrible they were, but then Cary became weirdly likable and the mother-in-law squirted a garden hose at that woman lolol.

I don't even like lawyering shows. The courtroom scenes tend to trigger my embarrassment squicks. But this show. But the magic of Kalinda and Alicia and Diane and omg.

Well, you know, I HAVE had you on my subscriptions for SOMETHING OF A WHILE. Which means, at the least, you are an easy point for research. You cannot be SO surprised.

I am slowly working through other episodes. I'm not sure if I'm willing to admit it on journal yet, because of how I am not sure yet how much I am willing to commit to spn. WHY ARE YOU ALL ABOUT THE WHITE DUDE MAINPAIN, SHOW? (...And secretly I have tried spn as an experiment to see if I can, indeed, get into such, which I am admitting b/c I am into my third case of beer. Whatever. Maybe I'll write Claire Novak drabbles after all. I have a bunny for one.)

"The White Dude Manpain Show" is pretty much the real title of Supernatural. Honestly when it was a MOTW show, I had no interest in it, but when angels&apocalypses started happening, I became intrigued. With that as my point of entry, I started appreciating the MOTW aspect too, and now all of it is my crack.

CLAIRE NOVAK YES. She is my favorite character to barely have any lines ever. The situation she has to deal with is just so weird and heartbreaking. When she grows up, she's either gonna be Buffy or Luna Lovegood.
