'Put Your Lights On' - SPN fanmix - Sam & Dean
I'm sitting on a few fanmixes right now. I recently amassed a wealth of music so I'm gonna sit on them some more, and hopefully serendipity will lead me to songs that even better explicate Dean/Alastair and Jimmy/Castiel &c.
I deem this Winchesters mix ready to go though! It spans S5, winks at S6, and is about as full of erotic codependency as you'd expect. I'm still trying to get the hang of this GIMP program, but I think we'll do okay, even if I still get a little misty for Photoshop sometimes.

01. the cave singers, "dancing on our graves"
oh you and me dancing on your grave
but oh lord, i know what i've done
and oh lord, i ain't afraid
02. the dandy warhols, "mohammed"
again and again
i get up and say
i only want to get it right
i only want to do the right thing
03. tom waits, "the earth died screaming"
the poker's in the fire
and the locusts take the sky
and the earth died screaming
while i lay dreaming of you
04. santana feat. everlast, "put your lights on"
i still got a purpose to serve
so let your light shine, deep into my home
god, don't let me lose my nerve
05. hell is for heroes, "slow song"
come down to my level
and share this cold with me
06. zero 7, "home"
take me somewhere we can be alone
make me somewhere i can call a home
'cos lately i've been losing on my own
07. the notwist, "be reckless"
no matter what we say
no matter what we think
we will never leave this room
08. joanna newsom, "swansea"
and yonder, wild and blue,
the wild blue yonder looms
till we are wracked with rheum
by roads, by songs entombed
09. the shins, "the past and pending"
as someone sets light to the first fire of autumn
we settle down to cut ourselves apart
cough and twitch from the news on your face
and some foreign candle burning in your eyes
10. the cranberries, "no need to argue"
i knew
i knew i'd lose you
11. the new monarchs, "kiss me at the gate"
if you made up your mind
would i still stand here in denial?
so i have made a choice to stand right here
and watch you go
12. madonna, "deserve it"
i have no regrets
there's nothing to forget
all the pain was worth it
13. tim eriksen, "am i born to die"
and am i born to die
to lay this body down
and must my trembling spirit fly
into a world unknown
14. iron and wine, "the trapeze swinger"
please remember me as in the dream
we had as rug burned babies
among the fallen trees and fast asleep
beside the lions and the ladies
that called you what you like and even might
give a gift for your behavior
a fleeting chance to see
a trapeze swinger high as any savior
bonus track: koop feat. cecilia stalin, "waltz for koop"
you say our job is done
the battle is won
but we've only just begun
vikki has finished sorting
castielfest prompts and is sending them out right now. My heart is full of capslock and keysmash and the XD emoticon, you don't even know.
