- This show is still magic, especially Amanda. I have successfully unseen her as the terrible mother from Vampire Diaries and The OC. Amanda, so amazing.

- Okay, in the first half of the season I have been meh about Michael ships, but make him encroach on Alex and I am all over that, apparently. Oh hai creepy personal space and privacy invasions. BRING ON THE INAPPROPRIATE FEELINGS AND THE MANIPULATION THEREOF. Oh, man, why are none of my ships happy (except maybe you, Mishalecki, for now)? Michael crashes Alex's dinner date and I am all >D OIC.

- But my true feelings lie with Michael/Alex/Nikita. The scene where Michael and Nikita are basically fighting over Alex, and Michael kept on saying MY AGENT? Fuck yeah. Michael just wants his agent back. His agent.

- I'm not feeling Alex's love interest. I don't even remember his name. I thought for sure he was a plant that was gonna fuck shit up. idk, something about him just screams 'douche' to me! I fully cop to my Alex/Nikita OTP goggles being in the way, though.

- That final scene with Michael in Nikita's loft? Well played. OMG WHAT HAPPENS NEXT TELL ME NOW NOW.

- NGL, every time I see Childs on-screen, I am like ARGH IT'S WAR RUN ALICIA RUUUUNNNNNN.

- Judge Abernathy still cracks my shit up. I just want to hang out and weave baskets with him.

- I was so thrilled to see FBI Agent Lana back on my screen and attempting her very best to seduce Kalinda! UNF OMG. I both love and hate Kalinda for cockblocking, though. Also, Kalinda is (still) magic because whereas before I loathed the idea of Blake/Kalinda (even hatesex) and was LOL at Cary/Kalinda, canon has made me enjoy scenes of both. CAN WE TALK ABOUT BLAKE AND KALINDA STRIPPING EACH OTHER DOWN TO UNDERWEAR? AND KALINDA SLAMMING BLAKE AGAINST THE WALL? AND THEN THE BASEBALL BAT!! She is my hero. Can we talk about Cary trying to protect Kalinda, d'aaaawwww. ahahaha I am so easy: if you try your damndest support Kalinda, I will like you.

- I love Diane/Kurt so fucking much. So fucking much do I love them. And I love that when she turned down his invitation to go away with him, he said SHE IS HIS HERO. OH MY FUCKING GOD. WHAT KIND OF A TELEVISION SHOW IS THIS, HOW IS IT SO GOOD AND EVERYTHING WE NEED TO HEAR?!??

- Wendy's nanny is gonna haunt me the same way the jury POV episode still haunts me. God fucking damn, that is cold.

- NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AND I WAS JUST BEGINNING TO WARM TO NANCY BUT WHATEVER OH NO THE IMPORTANT THING IS THAT EVERYONE IS BREAKING UP WITH EACH OTHER NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I realize this is important for plot reasons, but mostly I just want to stab things until everyone is BFFs again. People who felt upset at the Sam&Dean relationship in S4, I understand you now!


The Good Wife is only pretending to be a show about lawyers. It's actually a show about sneaky political maneuvering. Okay, it's sometimes about bleeding-heart lawyers, whatever, but most times it's about power struggles and how to play the public and how good people sometimes lose. In a different show, these people would be antagonists. In this show, it's not that clear-cut. "Being right is the last refuge of the loser," said Will. Also, look at this clip of Lana trying to seduce Kalinda as Kalinda tries to get information from her.

In more important news, Dreamwidth has help_japan. It's not a mirror of help_japan and the bidding is in pounds. Laaaassss. The Good Wife is seriously the best show on television right now. I can't even handle how flipping amazing it is at nearly everything it chooses to do. And I love nearly everything it chooses to be. Kalindaaaaa. Ahaha actually last year, I was totally DNW EVER Cary/Kalinda, and now this year I am ALL about it. Mainly because Cary became totally bitter and cynical and smirky and I feel like he is more on her level now (I mean, not really, but more than he was before) and I love how much the two of them care about each other even though they don't admit it and ahalaksjfalksdjf. And I LOVE Alicia and Kalinda's relationship, and I love how the show didn't go the typical route with Alicia and Diane, and I love Diane and Will together, and Kurt cracks me up and I love Peter and I love Eli and I love the kids even though most of the time I want to strangle them. Basically I love everyone in this bar, everyone.

Well, except for Blake. I really, really can't stand Blake. I just feel like the actor is nowhere near able to hold his own against the rest of the cast, and just overcompensates by smirking a lot. And it's not a hot, Cary!smirk or knowing Kalinda!smirk, it's just an obnoxious smirk of smirkiness.

Uh. I have a lot of feelings about this show, okay.

EVERYTHING IT CHOOSES TO BE. What is "I love everyone in this bar" from? I keep seeing variations of that in places. I still don't ship Cary/Kalinda but I am less eyeroll at it, and have been nodding approvingly in my heart at how the show has been handling them. idk, I guess I just think Kalinda is too good for most of humanity.

OMG DIANE AND WILL <333 I EVEN LIKED BOND, OKAY. Bond was a smooth operator, though not as smooth as he thought, I guess, ahahahaha. With Blake, I wonder if the show intends for me to dislike him sometimes, and if they mean for him to be this big of a douche. He hasn't been given any depth at all. He has one dimension, and while that dimension has been elaborated on to an arguably interesting extent, he is otherwise an emotionally flat character. DOES NOT RESONATE.

Aha, I dunno, I saw it on tumblr and it pretty much describes how I feel about the show, sooo. Yeah, see, I was totally eyerolling at K/C last season, but this season, idk, it feels right to me. Like, yes, no one deserves Kalinda, she is too good for everyone, but she seems to genuinely like Cary, and Alicia, and I love how it sort of surprises even her? The last episode, with her giving her change of address to them both, perfectly illustrated that to me. And I like how her liking Cary sort of crept up on him, like she started out irritated by him, and then she was just using him, and then it's like, oh hey, I sorta like you, you're not as terrible as I thought you were. And Alicia and Kalinda together makes me vomit rainbows and see unicorns and stuff.

Although someone made an argument for Kalinda/Will, and I was like, "...I could be persuaded..." Although Diane and Will arg arg, basically I ship everyone/everyone on this damn show.

I liked Bond sorta too! I mean, at the beginning, I definitely did (the fact that Michael Ealy looks like..Michael Ealy also helps), and I wanted him to be another person to appreciate Alicia and take her away, a bit, from Will. I have to admit, I wasn't wild about the whole "black lawyer dude is in cahoots with black drug dealer" storyline, but seeing Julius's shit-eating grin during the vote last episode almost made up for it.

I just can't with Blake. I have no patience for him, and I am not interested and I don't care. Pls be going back to where ever the hell you are from. Although I did enjoy all the Blake/Cary confrontations, they were hilarious.

LOL I do like the kids, I think we're supposed to find them exasperating at times, just like kids sometimes are. And OMG Alicia's face in that scene. I fucking love her.

Oh god, I get such schadenfreude seeing Kalinda fuck with Blake. It's weird but I think The Good Wife is the one show (aside from maybe Nikita) where I buy into what canon is trying to tell me about characters and which ones I should be sympathetic to. Probably because their characters are complex and are all arguably sympathetic. Like I was telling Anjali up there, with Merlin and SPN my reaction to them is pretty much "TROLLOLOLOLOLOL OKAY THEN" and then I subvert all the things, but I'm kind of surprised by how ~seriously I'm taking The Good Wife. I liked Bond, BUT I was thrilled when Will and Diane became friends again! Suddenly I realize how people felt who are more invested in Sam/Dean than I am.

I DIDN'T WANT ELI TO DO IT BUT I DIDN'T SEE HOW HE COULD AVOID IT. I'M GLAD HE WAS CONFLICTED. GLAD. BUT OH MY GOD THAT POOR GIRL. Immigration issues hits me so hard. Like, there was this scene in Hawaii 5-0 where an old man finally got official citizenship and it made me bawl.

Yeah, this. I still cling to Will/Alicia and want to see more of that, but the more I see Alicia getting to a better place with Peter, and the more I see her discomfort at Will's morals, the less excited I am about it. I ship Will/Alicia in the sense that I want the show to undo these things so I can go back to being unrepentantly excited about Will/Alicia, but THAT IS NOT REALLY WHAT I WANT. So.

Nina has been AMAZING this season. Oh god, I just have so much admiration and respect for her. I don't really ship-ship anyone in this show outside of canon. Even when Mitchell rescued Annie from the afterlife, I would've been so thrilled to be friendshipping their epic friendship, but then Mitchell/Annie became canon and I am all D'AAAWWW. I love everyone's affectionate friendship and want them to pretend to surf in front of their beach mural all the time.
