LJ post up the wazoo!

Okay, now this is just fucking cool. Once upon a time, someone named Sasha_Engel emailed me asking permission to translate my X2 fic, Superglue, to Russian. I was squeeful and flattered like woah and gave her permission, asking for the URL of the finished product. She never replied back with a URL, but today I found it while Googling my email address.
Superglue (Russian translation)
How fucking awesome is that? I'm all a-squee!

You know, I thought I had all summer to write and finish off my WIPs, but suddenly my summer's ending in two weeks. What the fuck? I have a lot of shit to write, but for now I have non-shit to rec, in titular alphabetical order.

I haven't feedbacked this yet, which is bad of me, because I really should. I also haven't replied to
rageprufrock's beautiful post about immigrating to America, which I also really should. This is a collection of IC (i.e. amusing!) emails exchanged between Bruno and Boots in college.
QUOTE: Just in case my appreciation has not been made completely clear any time in the last five years, thank you so much for almost getting us suspended so that we could get a pool. Of all the times that you almost got us kicked out of the Hall, the time you almost got us kicked out of the Hall so that we could get a pool was definitely the best time.

I love how Proserpina writes, like, the randomest ships? And writes them well? And seriously, who doesn't love well-written rare ships? Chicka bow chicka bow bow!

And then you think of yourself with your blonde hair and white-white smile on TV, and think, Okay, maybe me.

Also, I've found it is possible to get icon-maker's block. I've started some of those Help! icons, but it's hard to concentrate when your brain is going blaaaaaahlalalalalah all the time. So I only made two of those. I bring you Lock, Stock icons as well, but only eight.

In every rocking, rolling caper movie, there is the hot guy who is screencapped with a pensive expression on his face. This leads to artsy icons that MAKE NO SENSE. Like number 9 up there, among others. Well, guys, but a kid's got to emo what a kid's got to emo.
Anyway, you guys know the deal. Brush credits are here. If taking any, would you please be so kind as to credit 'lassiterfics' in the keywords. Not 'lass' or 'lassiter' or indeed 'fics', but 'lassiterfics'. I'd really appreciate it, because I don't want to be confused with this guy here, as I don't plan to have that kind of hairline until I'm well into my octogenarian years.
Seacrest out.

Also, I love how you used porno music for a story that has, like, one kiss in it. At the very end. *g*

And as for the porno music, it's what we call wishful thinking

I will go in and change the keywords on the Mr. Orange icon I took from you not too long ago. I didn't even know there was another Lassiter. Hm.
In fact, let's go dance naked in the moonlight.
Thanks! The Russian thing was seriously unexpected, dude. Woahwow. And, heh, ditch that envy, we're all about spreading the love here.

I do wish your muses could talk mine into being more productive. You know, give a motivational speech...or maybe put guns to their heads...

i also think that's why it makes me so sad to think about when they were fighting or john and george dying, not only because it is just a sad thing but because especially on film, they're just.. infinite. immortal. you can't imagine these young beautiful happy boys falling out of love with each other or what they're doing and thinking about it hurts in the way looking at your best friend and knowing that they'll grow older and have tragedies and die hurts. i think that's also why lotrips was so attractive to a lot of people for a long time; just a lot of people doing what they so obviously love, with people they're so obviously in love with (and i don't mean that in a romantic way, but just in that incredible once-in-a-lifetime friend way). and people really want that. i mean, i think that our generation in particular has been raised without a real way to form connections with people-- we have so many forms of communication, i.e. the internet and cellphones and

we have so many forms of communication, i.e. the internet and cellphones and things, but they seem to just be in the way of forming a genuine connection with people. so when we see that connection in others (especially goodlooking talented others), we latch on, because we want it for ourselves.
er.... i'm going to stop talking now, lol. you probably didn't mean to inspire a whole rambling incomprehensive monologue. well, that's what you got. *grins*

Gah, you're right. Come to think of it, I'm so jealous of them.
Yeah, dude, most times I even forget they had fights. Sometimes in my reality, all that happened was that Yoko came into their perfect world, blew them all raspberries, stuffed John into a balikbayan box, then left with him.
