whynot: etc: oh deer (winter queen)
I did the "things I'll never write" meme a few weeks ago, though it was just an excuse to request the strangest prompts people can think of, because as history shows, I'll write anything. So, I wrote Peter&Jadis near the end of the Golden Age for [livejournal.com profile] bedlamsbard (Bed, I may still actually owe you fic, since this isn't technically Peter/Jadis), and Ororo between X2 and X3 for [livejournal.com profile] dirty_diana.

Then everyone else gave Narnia crossover prompts, so I've compiled those all here in a section subtitled 'people they never loved'.

Another Shore

- for [livejournal.com profile] marycontraire, who said Edmund/Effy (Narnia/Skins)
Neither Edmund nor Effy are surprised that their older brothers don't get along. )

- for [livejournal.com profile] animus_wyrmis, who said Edmund/Hermione (Narnia/Harry Potter)
2 people who objected to Edmund and Hermione's relationship )

- still for [livejournal.com profile] animus_wyrmis, who also said Edmund/Luna (Narnia/Harry Potter)
She's safe, that much is sure, but he isn't sure how she's safe: whether it's because she would believe him, or because no one would believe her. )

- for [livejournal.com profile] be_themoon, who said Nimueh/Jadis (Narnia/Merlin). With visual aid!
Nimueh whispers an incantation and the cut on her palm closes itself. )

ETA: FUCK IT. Here are two codes to start a Dreamwidth account: DRQKSWTQPJHVZAAACZU9 and QFTXMA3ZGR9NJAAACZVA. I cast them to the wind and wash my hands of them!
whynot: etc: oh deer (outrageous!)
'Pineapple Express' is the gayest thing I've seen since 'Merlin', holy shit. My heart swelled ten thousand times and I nearly peed my pants laughing. Bromance is the new black and Seth Rogen is its unlikely poster child. Is there Pineapple Express fic?!

I have no explanation for the following.

That Which Burns
X2/Avatar/Captain Planet. John, Zuko, Wheeler(/Linka!). PG.
Excerpts from a nonexistent X2/Avatar/Captain Planet crossover starring some boys who control fire and their quest to understand themselves and each other. They probably fight crime, too.

+---+translation

Okay, now this is just fucking cool. Once upon a time, someone named Sasha_Engel emailed me asking permission to translate my X2 fic, Superglue, to Russian. I was squeeful and flattered like woah and gave her permission, asking for the URL of the finished product. She never replied back with a URL, but today I found it while Googling my email address.

Superglue (Russian translation)

How fucking awesome is that? I'm all a-squee!

+---+recs

You know, I thought I had all summer to write and finish off my WIPs, but suddenly my summer's ending in two weeks. What the fuck? I have a lot of shit to write, but for now I have non-shit to rec, in titular alphabetical order.

At The Pub by [livejournal.com profile] copperbadge. RPF. JK Rowling, Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman. I don't believe you when you say you're not curious. PG.
As he puts it: "The book we'll never see..."
QUOTE: "Yes, the woman whose 'if you liked this book, try these!' lists my books always end up on."

Bruno Walton for Student Body President by [livejournal.com profile] rageprufrock & [livejournal.com profile] throughadoor. Bruno and Boots. Boots/Bruno. PG13.
I haven't feedbacked this yet, which is bad of me, because I really should. I also haven't replied to [livejournal.com profile] rageprufrock's beautiful post about immigrating to America, which I also really should. This is a collection of IC (i.e. amusing!) emails exchanged between Bruno and Boots in college.
QUOTE: Just in case my appreciation has not been made completely clear any time in the last five years, thank you so much for almost getting us suspended so that we could get a pool. Of all the times that you almost got us kicked out of the Hall, the time you almost got us kicked out of the Hall so that we could get a pool was definitely the best time.

This Is How It Happens by [livejournal.com profile] queenofhell. RPS. Ryan Gosling/Justin Timberlake. PG13.
I love how Proserpina writes, like, the randomest ships? And writes them well? And seriously, who doesn't love well-written rare ships? Chicka bow chicka bow bow!
QUOTE: This is how it happens: with “hello” and “nice to see you again” and a manly, backslapping, distant hug. You look at him and see yourself if you had gone another path, and you think, Thank God. Not me.
And then you think of yourself with your blonde hair and white-white smile on TV, and think, Okay, maybe me.

+---+icons

Also, I've found it is possible to get icon-maker's block. I've started some of those Help! icons, but it's hard to concentrate when your brain is going blaaaaaahlalalalalah all the time. So I only made two of those. I bring you Lock, Stock icons as well, but only eight.

1) 2)
We grow copious amounts of ganja, and you're carrying a wasted girl and a ticket to ride. )

Anyway, you guys know the deal. Brush credits are here. If taking any, would you please be so kind as to credit 'lassiterfics' in the keywords. Not 'lass' or 'lassiter' or indeed 'fics', but 'lassiterfics'. I'd really appreciate it, because I don't want to be confused with this guy here, as I don't plan to have that kind of hairline until I'm well into my octogenarian years.

Seacrest out.

So, [livejournal.com profile] mikhale asked me for some Bobby/John in which they are on a bed. The better with which to facilitate boylove, right? Oy. I always have to make things so complicated, don't I? I don't think this is the story he asked for, but here it is anyway.

Yay for [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma for helpful input.

Title: Option E
