They tried to make me go to rehab, but I said--

1. If you've ever wondered where the drabbles are at for Arthur/Susan, Morgana/Edmund, Uther/Lucy, Susan/Morgana, Lucy/Merlin, and the Dragon/Aslan (and Pevencest is a given), maybe you should look here. Part of my and [livejournal.com profile] bedlamsbard's ongoing mission to have the Pevensies sleep with everyone ever.

2. I never posted actual links to the following, and they do go with the overall theme of this post, so what the hell. In terms of Stardust crossovers, this is the one with Last Battle revisionism, and this is the one with Ben Barnes/Ben Barnes Caspian/Dunstan.

3. Here is that meme where you pair up the characters of the adjacent icons on your icons page and write a drabble about it.

Virgil Malloy (Ocean's 11) & Donald Duck

"Yeah," said Virgil, watching Daisy amble into the sunset on Gladstone Gander's arm. "Life's a bitch, huh?"

As usual, he couldn't make out Donald's reply, but from the jumping up and down and the fisticuffs motions, it probably wasn't anything positive.

"There's nothing you can do about it now, man," he replied. "You gotta move on. There's a lot of bitches in life hotter than Daisy."

Donald glared at him.

"Look," sighed Virgil, "let's just go grab some beers. Forget about this bullshit."

Donald took off his hat and reached into it, and Virgil watched as his entire arm (wing?) disappeared and reappeared with a brown jug the size of his head labeled 'XXX'. "Quack quack quack quack," Donald said (or so Virgil thought), in a tone that approached self-satisfaction.

"So," said Virgil after a long swig, "I hear Minnie's single again."

Miraz & The Beatles

Miraz found it surprisingly easy to learn the drums. It wasn't as hard as they warned him it would be. He reckoned it was because of the physical coordination borne of his military training -- each limb doing something different, making it all work.

"If Ringo can do it," Paul shrugged.

"I don't like those men," Prunaprismia told Miraz once, frowning. "They're uncouth. Well, George is all right. But I don't like them coming over. The east tower still smells like marijuana from the last time!"

Prunaprismia didn't like their music either, and preferred the soothing ballads of somber-faced Telmarine minstrels. It wasn't Miraz's favorite music either by far, although he had come to develop an appreciation for the post-Rubber Soul albums after John convinced him to try LSD. But he certainly wasn't going to tell his wife that.

Pevensies & Prince Arthur

Eh. It's been done.

the stardust/narnia i don't plan to put into a post, especially not the one with [livejournal.com profile] bedlamsbard because that one is, like, voluminous and not even in chronological order. we pretty much crapped out our squee in the form of random story notes. kind of a shame really, because there are some bits of pevencest i've written there that i'd rather like to put in a post, but it wouldn't make sense without the context of the story. i'll put my commentfic up occasionally, but i'm kind of capricious with what makes it onto the post and what doesn't.

(and thanks! we are delicious frenz.)

we are so making the narnia/stardust crossover actual fic at some point in time, because it is fabulous and multi-layered and epic. and i love it. *wide eyes*

[identity profile] twoskeletons.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
i... i am kind of intimidated by the idea of writing it all out! you may be used to writing long stuff, but i've never written a fic over 20 pages long. expect epic wibbling and dramatic threats to throw myself off the boat. D-:

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!

HOKAY, 'cos i do love playing in that playground liek whoa. uh, but feel free to write more than i do? well, this is probably a given, considering how you are. what i'm saying is, don't feel like you're absconding with it, 'cos i don't know how much i can/will commit to making this fic Happen, so in the end it may be more in your hands than in mine?

[identity profile] bedlamsbard.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
WHOO. i am completely and totally okay with that, and i am not touching it at least until the end of november and possibly not till after dust is finished (though aslan alone knows when that will be -- well, i don't think aslan has anything to do with it).

[identity profile] twoskeletons.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
do you know how dust is going to end?
ext_2135: narnia: home sweet home (soraki) (Default)

[identity profile] bedlamsbard.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
sort of. i'll throw it at you in e-mail if you're interested; i wouldn't mind another opinion.

excellent! sorry about these random pauses; i thought i should try this newfangled concept of doing homework, and i had a helluva lot of reading for my history class.

[identity profile] twoskeletons.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
i too am engaged in that concept! so, no worries. i switch between internet tooling and my statistics homework... and... internet tooling is kind of winning... it always does, though ARGH.

*whispers* you can totally tell what i'm studying in my dust endgame survey.

relocating the action for inept's convenience!

[identity profile] twoskeletons.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
*whimpers* I'd throw the narnia/stardust crossover or the ot3 fic in there, but i don't actually have either of those in word docs...
man, if the beginnings of crosstree alone took up already 6 pages, i am almost afraid to find out what these babies can do

things dust, water, and constellated have taught me

[identity profile] bedlamsbard.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
eh, six pages is nothing. (dust was at sixty before i cut the tirian pov ch. 5 and started a susan pov instead; constellated rounds out at 38K and i don't know how many words.)

[identity profile] mumblemutter.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 02:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I totally understand! I'll dig into the comments when I have some downtime and some hot cocoa at hand. :-D Also, you (and [livejournal.com profile] fahye) are already my hero for writing that lovely lovely DUNSTAN/CASPIAN (I cannot type this in anything but CAPS), anyway. The pretty and the heartbreak and the magic and the PRETTY.

(Something else you can do with del.icio.us is subscribe to tags! You just have to go here (https://secure.delicious.com/settings/people/subscriptions) and type in a tag you're interested, e.g. 'narnia' or 'poetry' or 'merlin/arthur', and it collects everything for you in one place (http://delicious.com/subscriptions/), hooray! I may be a little bit in love with del.icio.us and the way it's completely overrun with slashers at this point.)

[identity profile] twoskeletons.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 02:16 pm (UTC)(link)
fahye's writing is all about being pretty, i <3 it

WOAH I SEE. what else can possibly be in this magic box called delicious?!

[identity profile] mumblemutter.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Well. You can also click back and forth between your network and your tag subscriptions in the feverish hope of finding an incoming link that will allow you to spend ten minutes on reading something fun instead of merely procrastinating.

...uh.

Also go to your del.icio.us page and check the upper right corner? I tagged these links with 'for:lassiterz' and now I am absolutely done talking about this, Jesus, sorry. :-X

[identity profile] twoskeletons.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
wait wait do you mean my inbox?

[identity profile] mumblemutter.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes yes, there should be two links, like a delicious-confined "hey look at this cool thing!"
