It's been a while since I posted about Donald Duck so I'm going to rectify that. Is THIS the most amazing Disney comic cover art ever, or is it this? Probably the latter, because holy fucking shit HanSolo!Donald omg <33. Where can I get that in English?

Dear Santa,
Thanks in advance for writing me a fic about the things I loved when I was a kid! Well, Johnny Maxwell excepted, ‘cos I only discovered the books last year. That said, have no fear about ‘breaking my childhood/brain’ or whatever, ‘cos I would love fic that is a little darker and more critical. That’s the thing about kids’ shows, I reckon, that people take them for granted as being light and superficial, but if you hold these shows under scrutiny, their inconsistencies are bound to result in more adult themes. Whatever ‘adult’ means.
I embrace endings that are unhappy, or at least leave me feeling unsettled and contemplative. THAT said, don’t feel pressured to write fic that is dark. If happy endings are your thing, then by all means! As my LJ will show, I also love crack (even if it's dark crack). I love LOVE crossovers, so if you find a way to cross the fic over with any of my fandoms, all bets are off and you can do whatever you want and feel free to ignore the rest of this letter ‘cos omg crossovers yay!
I don’t have many squicks. I don’t like infidelity, but I’m better with emotional infidelity, as in maybe the character is struggling with Feelings but isn’t acting on them. I love UST and usually prefer it to porn. I love when fics mention current events and globalization issues (especially neocolonialism and migration) - and those can totally be relevant to Jonny Quest and Captain Planet - but don’t force it if you don’t want to go there. If you really want to make me squee, you might want to include a shout-out to the Philippines or Indonesia in some way/shape/form, as those are my motherlands and aren’t often mentioned in any sort of media.
I am not above poop jokes.
On to the specific fandoms! Feel free to ignore the plot bunnies I compulsively throw out; you’re the author, not me. I just get carried away, I can't help myself.
Captain Planet
The gist: Five teenagers from around the world receive rings from the spirit of the earth that enable them to control the elements and fight environmental destruction. When things get really rough, they summon Captain Planet, a deus ex machina fond of making horrible puns.
I would like one or any combination of the following: a story about Wheeler, a story about Linka, or a post-series story. That’s my minimum and I would love it, but if you are interested in more details (which you don’t have to stick to if they’re not your thing):
I ship Wheeler/Linka, but I’m fine reading about the dissolution of their relationship if that’s where you want to take it, and about disillusionment in general. As for the post-series story, to quote one of my recent ramblings about Captain Planet, I would enjoy a fic where the Planeteers struggle with cynicism, and maybe they doubt Captain Planet and themselves, all the while still fighting, always fighting, and learning new ways to fight this war.
...Or not! Maybe a Planeteer has given up the fight. Why do the Planeteers keep to or abandon their ideals? I would enjoy seeing them dealing with the politics and bureaucracy of environmental protection. Maybe Dr. Blight is a CEO and one of the Planeteers has to end up working with or under her. Maybe a Planeteer joins Greenpeace and in the middle of defiling some logging company HQ, they wonder, "What the fuck am I doing?" Maybe a Planeteer now works for the World Bank or UNEP or disaster relief or whatever. How are they doing? Do they keep in touch?
Classic Disney cartoons
The gist: Before the Jonas Brothers, there were a bunch of talking animals. They were awesome.
My favorite character is Donald Duck so something about him would be great, but if you don’t want to write him, that’s fine; I love all the Disney characters. I would love a backstage or between-scenes story. Maybe Daisy Duck and Minnie Mouse have a cigarette break while working on a cartoon. Maybe Goofy misses the good old days and resents how Zac Efron and Miley Cyrus have taken over the scene. MAYBE you want to write a fic about Donald Duck hanging out with Daffy Duck (who isn’t Disney, but whatever) over a glass of scotch, commiserating about big-eared showboating co-stars and their incessant smarm.
...Or maybe you don’t! Maybe you want to write footnotes about the Duck family instead, ‘cos Scrooge has been places and done things, and the nephews are just win at everything. And Gladstone is an asshole. Stupid Gladstone.
If, uh... if you want to include Panchito and Joe Carioca from The Three Caballeros (I KNOW I KNOW, that movie is very not PC D:), and have a Three Caballeros reunion, that would also be great. Maybe you can include the neocolonialism issues here!
The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest
The gist: Using a combination of fancy technology and general asskicking, Quest & Co. fight all sorts of villains from your garden-variety overlord to supernatural demons.
Jonny/Jessie/Hadji OT3! Anything with this OT3 I would love. Little jealousies are okay, but mischievous polyamory would be much finer! Out of all my requested fandoms, this is the one where I am most okay with an NC17 rating. ...I guess that’s about it? Oh hey, maybe they meet the Planeteers! Wheeler&Jonny shenanigans?! Jessie/Gi science geek flirtation? Um, I’m probably getting ahead of myself. ANYWAY.
OH, and if you wanna wax poetic about New England because the Quest compound is in Maine, uh, that would totally be cool. IF YOU WANT.
The Johnny Maxwell Trilogy by Terry Pratchett
The gist: Four (sometimes five) kids from Blackpool, England have adventures with aliens, time travel, and ghosts.
Bigmac and Yo-less are my favorite characters, so character pieces about them or something in which they hang out would be looooooved. Hmmm, that’s it, but if you want to do a crossover with Neil Gaiman’s Graveyard Book and write Johnny&Bod (or Johnny/Bod?) fic instead, you’ll win my eternal devotion.
Et voila! That’s it. Please HAVE FUN and don’t let my ramblings pressure you into writing something you don’t want to write. I am so excited at receiving fic in any of these fandoms that you could probably write about Benton Quest clipping his toenails and I would explode with joy.
