spn_j2_bigbang 2010. AU from 5x18. A year after Dean gives Michael his consent, the Host catches up with Castiel at last. Dragged to Heaven, he now faces Zachariah's brand of divine punishment; and Sam, erstwhile abomination, is the only one left to save him.
The AU forks off from the street preacher scene, in that he actually succeeded in calling the angels before Cas got there. I know for a fact there are at least a couple of you who are interested in Sassy gen adventuretimes (MYSELF INCLUDED). Look no further! Here is a whole Big Bang of said shenanigans. I have a question for you, since your post popped up at something resembling an opportune time ("Frieza," I said to myself, "if there is anyone you can ask about fandom ettiquette or how not to give a damn, it's Lass"): how do you feel about people recording their own fic? Because I was re-reading that poetry curse fic I wrote
for youbecause it had to be written, and thinking that a podfic version could be either spectacular or disappointing, and that in either case I don't think I'd trust anyone but me to do it (because apparently I am ferociously territorial that way, oops). Except for how I have never podficced before and it might be seen as self-aggrandizing? And I'm sure I would want to go on and record most of my other fics and it feels like kind of a slippery slope, but maybe it could be fun like waterslides!IDK, ADVISE ME. Please?

Ah, that lovely fic! Thanks again for that. People have recorded their own fic before, and I don't think it's a big deal. candle-beck is one of the more popular examples that come to mind. I think her readings of her own fics are great because she knows what in the text to emphasize and where to adjust her tone. So yeah, it's no big, I think you'll be okay. You can say that recording your own fic is practice for recording other people's fic or something :) but I don't think it's a big deal. Good luck!

The one objection I have to your very consoling reply is that candle_beck is widely regarded as surpassingly awesome, so whatever she does is allowed. :P But it doesn't only work like that, I know.
